My dad listened to Keith Whitley a lot when I was a kid. He told me Keith recorded this song as a tribute to Lori Morgan right before he died.
This song always gets to me as a dad.
For those with little kids. This song was written for the mom of the child. The lyrics come from the blog posts of the mom
