Highly unlikely we win out and OSU has a much easier road

Iowa:

Michigan
@ Indiana
Illinois
@Minnesota
Ohio State

OSU:

@ MSU
Nebraska
@PSU
Maryland
Michigan
@Iowa
Probably not given the way we've reverted to playing true Fran ball lately, but we still control our own fate for a share of the regular season title.

Why say it is lost, the hawks win out and by beating OSU they will tie in the loss column at the least while splitting victories, that gives them a share of the reg season title. The two losses probably shouldnt have happened. Something going one with the zone defenses on them or whatever,

Hopefully IU will still have a say in the race too…IU remaining schedule:

@ Wisky
@ Illinois
Iowa
@ Northwestern

OP, do you ever get sick of being a whining bitch all of the time?

Maryland doesn’t have great talent ! The talent at OSU is much better.

Looking ahead, our last stretch of the B1G Season is TOUGH. Thank God we had the weekend off.

2/22 @ Indiana

The Hoosiers need a statement and bounce-back win after losing to Illinois. They will come ready to play after we spanked them at home, and Illinois beat them by 20.

2/25 vs. Illinois

Don’t over look this Illinois team… In the last two games, the Illini won by driving and making layups or getting to the free throw line all game. We CANNOT let them get downhill. They are super athletic, but we have to keep them in front of us and REBOUND. (They held Holmes to 2 rebounds yesterday.)

2/28 @ Minnesota

We just can’t have a letdown game here.

3/3 vs. Ohio State

It’s the grand finale and the biggest game of the B1G season— I hope we are playing for the regular season title. This game could be a huge momentum boost going into the postseason (à la last year’s Indiana matchup at CHA).

Also, WOW. If we win out this stretch of games and the B1G Tournament… That would be super impressive. Also, we would be a top 3 #1 seed, which will play in our favor. We can beat South Carolina if we play great basketball, but I do not want them on our side of the bracket.

If Iowa and OSU win out and the hawks beat the buckeyes...

Two-team tiebreakers
1. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season.

2. Each team's record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the final regular-season standings (or in the case of a tie for the championship, the next highest position in the regular-season standings), continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage.

a. When arriving at another pair of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to their own tiebreaking procedures), rather than the performance against the individual tied teams.

b. When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0 or 0-0).

#2 is about as clear as mud.

I read it as it would be each team's record against the 3rd place team, at this point meaning Indiana. Iowa would in that scenario be 2-0 vs. Indiana, and Indiana beat OSU.

All MD has is talent. They may have a ton of other problems — positional imbalance, chemistry issues, a lack of size, too much hero ball, little fan support, and a coach who is likely losing it after some poor outcomes that are solely on her, but they have talent out the wazzou. 10/10 coaches would take any of their top 7 players over any of our players not named Clark. In the right system any of them could be instrumental in a National Title….

Shik IMO you are way off base in your assessment of Marylands talent. Combining the two squads both Martin and Stuelke would start along with Clark.

Penn State is playing like they’ve never seen a press before. It’s flat out embarrassing coaching.

Talent distribution matters - the iowa way is to e heavily distributed toward the bottom when having generational talent at the top.
