C'mon bubba...you can do better than this. We don't get to 125 without hearing the greatness of Cael on every broadcast. It's what announcers do. Snyder did something pretty special this summer, why complain about lauding it, especially after the announcers glowingly spoke about the PSU guys?

Even your "let's start a rumor about Brands and five dead hookers" (which btw, is a pretty specific number) on the other thread was lacking,kinda creepy, and had nothing to do with wrestling. Especially when they cite Brands successes. Did the PSU fan want them to discuss Johnson's lateral speed in stopping the run during the match?

This is probably an 18 year old still living on campus and too caught up with a sports rivalry with tOSU. The vast majority of PSU fans will be cheering on Sneider to win the gold in the Olympics. Any actual adult who places college above country just doesn't get it.

Cael got a hell of a lot better at recruiting once he got to PSU. Which is easier for Cael, pitching multiple PA studs to come wrestle for him in Ames or 50 miles away in PA?

Same thing applies to Brands when he got to Iowa even though he convinced a guy like Metcalf and others to come to Va Tech.

Yeah... I'm sure his move to PA had a lot to do with him being in the center of the recruiting universe. Hell, even the American Pickers know to come east for the good shit. I wouldn't be surprised if they too open up an Antique Archelogy somewhere in the north east. Lol

Does anyone know what Snyder weighed for the PSU match.

He had to make weight at 213 lbs (97 Kg) in Siberia at the Yarygin tournament only 5 days before and then fly back so I would be surprised if he was too much more than that. Pretty freaking awesome what he's doing if you ask me.

The PSU fans not appreciating a world champ flying back from Russia like that to compete in their arena isn't even remotely surprising to me. I made the mistake of traveling to PSU once for a football game, never again. I've been to almost every Big Ten city over the years including Columbus several times for UM-OSU games and have never seen fan behavior that even comes close.

Well a few (hint=not Iowa fans) are talking about how Snyder will TF him but Snyder rarely pins or TFs. Maybe that will change because he won a World Championship and his confidence must be sky high but I don't think it happens. I think it will be a tough one.

Anything can happen, but I would disagree. I think you are underestimating the strength of Snyder's lower body and core. Snyder has actually never pinned anyone in his college career and I doubt that changes much anytime soon. His wheelhouse is obviously on his feet, so the real question to me isn't at all if Snyder is special on top but how Stoll matches up with him in neutral, where lately it has looked like Snyder has few peers in the world, and is also where I would say it is the other way around, Stoll's body type that makes Snyder a bad match up for him as he seems to have that longer leg shorter arm body type that potentially leaves his legs more vulnerable to Snyder's very low attacks as opposed to more compact heavyweights like Gwiz who can defend them much, much easier. Also, I would guess it's a lot easier for 265 lb Tervel Dlagnev to simulate big heavyweights in OSU's room for Snyder than it is for Iowa to simulate someone like Snyder in theirs for Stoll.

Did you see Snyder's come back match against Collin Jensen, who has a similar longer body type like Stoll? After he shakes the rust off it is just obvious Jensen is going against someone who is just way out of his league when they are standing, despite being much larger than Snyder (I would guess 4 or 5 inches taller and 30 lbs bigger).

If Stoll can keep it upper body and raise the level and prevent the ankle pick, I think you could still end up undefeated given the three points. Haven't seen Snider wrestle a good HWT so its tough to say but Sam just needs to withstand the initial barrage. The difference between he and Gwiz is that Gwiz can be a hammer on top. The downside is that Snider has made that leap in neutral...I was amazed at how quickly it happened from March to Worlds.
