Trump out of business in New York

Michael Cohen will testify on Tuesday, and Daycare Donnie is promising to be in attendance. I look for him to create a spectacle, or encourage Alina Habba to make a spectacle. He's losing bigly. In his reptilian mind his best bet at this point is to inflame the judge and get sympathy from the rubes, and maybe an appellate court. And, to create a distraction from the disastrous results of the trial.

Weisselberg lied in his valuations, and an insurance exec describes the very unusual lengths that Trump Org went to keep information from being scrutinized. No copies of financial statements were allowed to be removed from Trump Org, or transmitted to borrowers or underwriters. Only hand written notes taken in person while on Trump property. I'm sure all the big successful corporations do this...
I know the big fireworks come later this week, but the drip, drip, drip is terrible for Donald. He's going to lose Trump Tower.

This is possibly the best headline in the history of the world.

Just snippets from the courtroom today, but it sounds like Little Don is going with the , I am a VP, but I'm not a details guy", defense.

Little Don is laying the blame at the feet of Donald Bender, hired as an outside accountant, and longtime Trump accountant Weisselberg. So, not responsible directly, just a sloppy VP. LOL.
When pressed about Weisselberg, Little Don seemed shocked that he had been convicted and served time in jail for crimes related to his work for Trump Org. I mean, jeez, a VP can't be on top of all of the details at a company, can he?

"This fraud occurred, but no one can possibly figure out how it occurred, because no one was actually checking and verifying any of the financials"

Not really how financial fraud cases work: if you're the one in the position of responsibility, you're accountable for what you sign. If you don't review the stuff, then what you sign is on you.

Exactly. I have been an officer/director of multiple companies both private and public. I always make sure I understand what I am signing and why I have to be the one to sign. Failing to do your own diligence on official filings is moronic at best. And last I checked being a moron is not a viable criminal defense.

The Trump’s have spent most of their lives trying to dodge accountability. Hopefully it is finally coming home to roost.

This is why Donald Trump is so triggered. For the first time in his life he's being held accountable, and he can't just bully or buy his way out of the trouble.

LOL, I just saw that part of Ivanka's appeal was based on her testifying would interfere with her kid's schooling.

Good thing this isn't a criminal case.
