And in case you aren't paying attention... the war in Ukraine still rages on, grocery prices are still high and prices are going to go tarrif driven higher, and the cost of energy has not dropped 50%. All his failed promises... I mean lies. He's accomplished nothing that HE PROMISED. I'm surprised you didn't know all this. Head meet sand apparently.

I’m not sure if even you think you just made a zinger of a point. We’ve sent billions to blunt an aggressor nation. The ROI has been very large as Ukraine degrades Russia, and the West gleans a treasure trove of data on Russian, Chinese, and North Korean capabilities.

This is more complicated than binary decisions of A and B.
Market down 10-20% depending on the index, and best case we have a recession, possibly stagflation, worst case depression. It is scary how similar this is to 1930.
A. Support Ukraine who chose to fight off a larger army within the borders of their own country while coordinating with the majority of western governments.
B. Support Russia who keeps saying they will launch nukes at us while they invade their neighbors.
Pretty darn simple when you see how much more simple it is than the middle east conflicts we have grown spoiled with few, but not zero, flag draped caskets.

I think moving the finish line to suit those not within their borders is gross. I also thought Sullivan slow played weapons restrictions while congress couldn't get out of their own way tied both Ukraine's hands. There isn't a lot of good to find, but a willingness to give Ukraine the second wind they are asking for. They have put together a drone program that's taken 10% of Russia's refineries offline, and swarms the front like like a disturbed hornets nest.
The movie Glory was gross, but based on our own history. Would the 300 that stood against an army have been remembered if they never tried? How many thousands of Greeks would have died if they weren't issued both shields and spears?
Ukraine is currently advancing in counter attacks instead of trading ground for time and lives. They can't keep that up with a good luck, but we're tired of hearing you're dying nor can you beat the army you've kept at bay for 3 years when you were given 3 days. Trump cost them Kursk already...will you give away Kiev too?

We aren’t. Russia has invaded Ukraine snd we and other countries are attempting to keep a sovereign nation intact. Ukraine is also in a very important location, and the weakening of Russia is to our benefit. But that does not mean that we are behind the war or orchestrating it.
Russia can stop the dying anytime it chooses. Ukraine cannot and is in an existential crisis. Helping them exist and repel Russia is not exploiting.
What time/day does the ceasefire begin that Putin has agreed to? I still haven't gotten a clear answer to that.

Russia not being an aggressor nation is in our best interest. A ceasefire doesn't benefit either side and is just political virtue signaling both sides can be forced into something. Giving Russia anything in the matter doesn't solve the conflict, and Ukraine being asked to give up anything just increases the likelihood it's a rest and rearm for Russia. Short term gains can be at the expense of long term results.
You should be able to see save a little now to spend a lot later may not be preferred by those wanting to invest in Ukraine a little now so savings can be assured later on. Does giving up our military leadership role to Europe decrease our military budget? A ceasefire lifts military budgets worldwide. Does that sound like a lasting peace proposal?
