People like this are the worst. Have no idea we had four scholarship receivers enter the portal and replaced none of them. And then claim that all is well and good because we are now trying to recruit portal receivers to join the worst offense in the big ten this century. Can’t make this stuff up!

I disagree that they’re “useless” out of season. That’s when they do more interviews with former players, which I think have been some of their best episodes.
I put everything in context in my comment, you can reread it. I know what their show is. I enjoy it at times. It's okay to *momentarily* not be a fan when they get defensive about the program to the point where they are unaware they're speaking solely on ego or emotion. Regardless, I don't judge them and I'm happy they've found success in that medium.
Also I am rational in that I don't poorly misinterpret message board comments and instigate fights. Good day.
Our offense has been bad to horrific for 5 years in a row under Brian. This isn’t a matter of a bad break here and there. It’s a case of sustained incompetence and underachievement the likes of which already would have resulted in his firing by any head coach who wasn’t his dad.
I wish Brian well, but there’s no debating that his dad made a huge mistake by hiring him with zero prior experience as an OC — and then doubling down by also appointing him QB coach…. and now staying with him for all of these years of utter offensive ineptitude. I’ve always been a big fan of KF, but there’s no defending the nepotism in his program. It has objectively been a massive failure and needs to be rectified.

You keep taking L’s bro. Desmond Hutson, Tyrone Tracy, Quavon Matthews, and Charlie Jones since last season and this past May. That’s not talking about Bruce and Johnson. So people talking about wide receiver depth are obviously being critical of our coaches losing four scholarship receivers and not replacing any of them.

again the portal isn’t the magic treasure trove guys like you think it is

I’m absolutely claiming none were replaced, because none were. You are claiming none of these guys were bad losses, yet Iowa had one, ONE, healthy scholarship receiver to start this past season. Everyone besides Jones was gone before the end of 2021. So yes, the offensive staff had all offseason to replace/use these scholarships to help the receiving room. So we are in the exact same position as last year, where we did nothing.
Well maybe moving on to next season would be prudent as the staff appears to be doing
The problem is all this should have been done last offseason, coming off a ten win season, a big ten west title. We can recruit with that. Now that the offense is a national laughingstock all season we are going to have trouble recruiting short of just throwing NIL money at guys. The damage has been done offensively.

I enjoy their podcast for the most part. They sometimes go off talking about “inside” joke or experiences but don’t fill the audience in on the story.
They do a good job about giving insight into the program but they are true die hards and loyalists to the KF regime. Understanding that’s their perspective, they can be full of themselves. Play themselves off as better than other fans. I get it. They played on the field and put time and effort in the program. But they can lack perspective coming from that angle.

I miss “On Iowa” with Marc and Scott every single day. I feel like they should have gone out on their own. I would have paid to listen to them. I’m getting old but everything really sucks compared to that podcast. I looked forward to it all week.
I love the podcast, as they have a lot of insight about the program. I understand why they aren't for everybody, but it's my favorite Iowa Podcast, followed by HR.

They do not deserve equal credit. Good lord, try to be a little less biased. And I would Agree 1% think the hawks are trash. They should get lost. However, a majority of the rational fans believe, correctly, that Brian is a trash offensive coordinator.

Funny everything you read from local and national journalist, analyst even former players all say opposite and that he’s a bad OC and needs to be let go. Perfect case Scott dochterman. Great writer for iowa works for national publication the athletic. Very non biased. Guy who sat down with BF for multiple hours this summer wrote 2 piece story on him and iowas system. even he says it’s time for him to be done because he’s not been a good OC.
