"GWIZ" vs Synder.
I think the GWIZ" will win but for a hwt match she sure is going to be a exciting one.

Gwiz will beat Snyder if they meet up.
I'm not so sure that Snyder is even the 2nd best heavy in the nation.
I know the kids a world champion and all, but that's at 97kg and all the guys he's going up against will huge weight advantages. Before you bring up Mike McMullen, I know he wasn't a big heavy and he was successful, but he still had 20 plus pounds more than what Snyder has to work with. Snyder may be wrestling heavy, but he can't stray too far from his International Freestyle weight.
I'd take Coon, Walz, and Marsden over Snyder.

IMO Snyder destroys anyone not named Gwiz this year. 69 points scored in his first 3 matches to start his year. He is to fast and technical. Get real people. He is a beast

Yes, he's very fast and technical....and about 50 pounds lighter than his opponents. Some stuff just ain't gonna work as easily as it would against a guy closer to his own weight.
...and you also have to take into consideration that one of his three wins was Jan Johnson.

I have to agree with WildTurk. Snyder is a "World Champion". Now I know he's not a world champion at HWT but you have to be damn good and he is. Maybe I'm just being delirious because I'm actually agreeing with WildTurk .

Kurt Angle was a heavyweight champion and he weighed 213 pounds when he won the title. I do not think the weight will be the determining factor. If Gwiz can pout move him, then Gwiz wins. If not, Snyder has a very good chance at the win. Also, remember that Snyder works out with Tervel on a regular basis.

Most heavies are 245-265

I can see Gwiz and Coon. I can't see Walz and Marsden.

Love KS and think he took a leap offensively on his feet but Gwiz is an animal who can actually ride and wrestles like a 49. Snyder doesn't have the tools on top and is not much of a funk guy. Both Coon and Gwiz will be tough outs for him. This is still the same guy that got beat by Burak. Think Kyle would have an easier go if they were both at 97 but still. Solid testicular fortitude on Snyders part for throwing his hat in this season.

This debate raises the question -- I wonder if Gwiz has freestyle plans. One would think he could be a real factor internationally. The only thing that might hold him back, I'd guess, could be his size. He seems like a bit of a tweener. Maybe not quite big enough to take on the world's best heavies but maybe too big to cut down a weight class.

He absolutely has freestyle plans and will be right there with guys like Rey, Dlagnev, Telford, Fortune...

My question is where will he train?

NCState: I don't see much international value there

Ohio St: training with Snyder would be intriguing since they're at different weights.

Michigan: Coon hasn't fully committed to Greco yet, so I don't see that happening. If Coon goes Greco full time that'd be a great spot.

Iowa: I doubt it with Telford in the room, but Terry did corner him in a tournament this year.

Penn St: They could use a big man presence with Thompson.

Dang, I forgot about Kurt Angle!
That guy was a freak of nature. Anyone that wins an Olympic Gold medal with a broken neck can't be compared to, so he does not count in this debate.
And why didn't Angle wrestle 97kilos (213pounds) instead of heavyweight?
