I said "he hasn't sniffed a real Big Ten title" and then another guy posts a picture of the conference tournament.
But on the point of conference tournaments, Iowa has never won the tournament when there was actually something on the line. Meaning every year they won the tournament, the hawks were already in the NCAA tournament. When they win the tournament and it actually counts for something (NCAA bid), then post all the pictures you want. But even that isn't nearly as prestigious as the regular season title.
Fran stands up for his players. That's why they love playing for him. If you read his lips he said, "An assistant coach can't talk shit to my players. That can't happen." It looks bad, but a lot of the people that complain about Fran's actions also complain about Kirk's laid back, dry, "that's football" personality.

If a Big 10 team has to win the tourney to get in the NCAAs, then you're looking at a .500 team most likely...

Szelc signals the T and then points to the IU assistant. Their entire bench starts pleading. But it was on Fran? Not adding up. He’s pointing right at the assistant coach.

You left out the entire context of that conversation, which was Northern bleating about how abused he is. I pointed out that it is actually QUITE EASY to be liked on Hawkeye Report: post some funny things, don't be an ass. That's it, so simple, even I can be quite liked here. Heck, you could probably be well-liked here if you stopped acting like an ass.

Those remarks were taken from three separate posts contained within two different threads. I've noted them, because in my opinion, they are stunningly arrogant. One poster said you need to "Get over yourself." Another said that what you wrote "sounds really doushey."
You've admitted to saying those words, even as far as stating that they are "Objectively true".
You keep saying "don't be an ass", but I have to tell you, you really come off as a huge jerk yourself.

By the way, there is a simple test to see if it's objectively true ---- I offered to do it with Northern, but I'll do it with you if you wish.
Post a poll to ask which of the two of use other posters would rather see leave this site permanently. I'm willing to live with the outcome, as I believe I am well-liked enough around here from my two-decades of posting that folks wouldn't vote to boot me.

So you're saying that it is next to impossible to win the regular season championship at Iowa? I agree wholeheartedly and therefore revel in Fran's successes.
I thought we've finished pretty high at the end of the last handful of seasons. Winning the big at Iowa is almost unheard of. I remember the last one but many don't. That's a comment on how difficult it is to do here. I think Fran gives us a chance, maybe not this or next year but in a few we might be right there. I have confidence in his ability to coach and recruit. I think we only get better from here.
