Hogan comes out: "LET ME TELL YOU BROTHER, I didn't say no N WORD brother! But the Greatest partner is Real American Beer!"
Let me tell you brother I body slammed Andre. Something that has never been done before. Then he died 4 weeks later brother.

Forgot the best Hogan hot take defending himself.
If the people can forgive Chris Benoit brother. They can forgive me.

Watched with my 9 yr old. He loved the Rock coming out, but said after that they had him out there talking way too long. haha Highlight for us was the first match and the women's match. He got really amped for Uso's entrance too. By the time the last match came he was tired and done with it. And, tough the last match had a lot of great entertaining moves... just felt empty.

Benoit's son is working his way through independents, and apparently he wants to use the ring name Chris Benoit jr. and people are just like 😬😬

There was a lot of fluff between each match. Hopefully next week is better when they're back to the normal Raw roster.

3 hrs is too long. 2 hrs and change is about all you can ask. For a good product 1 hr 45 to 2 hrs 20 mins is about the sweet spot.

Think the reaction to Hogan wasn’t as much about his politics. That played a part.
The folks that attend WWE Shows now are hardcore fans. The ticket prices keep the casual viewers away. It’s more about Hogan’s history of racism, lying , and selfishness.
Most hardcore fans now realize he had a major impact in the death of WCW and TNA as a viable promotion. Yes, tna still exists. Unfortunately it’s a Indy with a TV deal now.
Combine it with him shilling for a beer and the political side. Nobody wants to pay to see him at a WWE show. UFC is more of his type of crowd. They’re oblivious to his personal history.
Also heard live it was far worse. Plenty of F U Hogan. Booing anytime he was shown in graphics.

HHH agrees, he said they are not locked into a set run-time, but didn't sound like it would go 3 hours, unless they had the content to justifies it...he said he thinks 2-2.5 hrs is his general preference. But he is happy to have the flexibility to go longer if they have a stacked show.

He mentioned the show should flow better on Netflix as they are not restrained by having to hit specific commercial ad breaks and can push those as well if segments are going short or long.

The wrestlers have to get over. Give creative something to work with. Can’t expect them to write things for a bunch of robots. That can just hit cool moves or look like a million bucks.

So I'm drunk, attending an NXT show in the National Guard Armory in my hometown, where 50ish years ago I saw Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, the Funk Brothers, the Briscoe brothers, Dick Murdoch, and the other stars of the early 70s.
Good times. Glad I snuck in some cheap-ass whiskey, it goes well with the show.

Sounds like a great card, assuming it was NWA vs. NXT...what state/territory was it in?

Central Florida. NXT does a show here a few times a year. Tonight was mostly pushing the ladies - over half the show.
Had a good time. They will be back in late April & I will be there again. Fun, relatively cheap entertainment.

RR 2005, when the tough enough champ comes out, says he's going to win it, and Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Hardcore Holly take turns giving him chops. Like 20 chops.

Watching YouTube clips of AEW and Edge, Jericho and Ambrose are absolutely embarrassing themselves. Rated R Cope is the gayest wrestling name ever, Jericho got really old and I have no idea what Ambrose is trying to do.

Was that Maven? Didn’t he drop kick the Undertaker out of the ring

Thanks for this. I never heard this story about him shooting on Angle. I just read about it after seeing your post. Crazy.
I've been going back and watching some old rumbles and that guy came in at #3. Apparently winning Tough Enough gave you an auto-entrance into the rumble.

Dude came out, talked some shit, and then got his ass beat. He did not look like he was having a good time.

Shocked he wasn’t fired on the spot. Angle was working. Granted Angle was past his prime. But if he had been ready doubt Puder would have locked in so quickly.
The amount of money risked having Angle’s reputation damaged had Vince furious.

I also saw Jericho do an interview, and he brought up winning the tag team titles with Benoit vs HHH and Stone Cold in 2001. I went back and watched that match it was f*cking insane compared to the tag teams today.

According to guys that first worked with the Tough Enough winners after the contest. Most of them weren’t smarten up to the business. They didn’t understand politics and etiquette. Deferring to veterans in and out of the ring.
The company literally saw zero value in them besides the show.

That’s because they actually work tag match gimmick back then. Getting heat by cheating and working the hot tag. Until crowd is begging for it.

Makes sense. Jericho talked a bit on the attitudes the established WWE guys had against the WCW guys just a few years prior. Can't imagine they were all that welcoming to a bunch of guys that didn't come up through the system.

Show was pretty much piggybacking off of other reality tv shows that were exploding in that era; real world, big brother, survivor, etc.
