****1/4 games thread****

Probably the oldest started lineup in college basketball.
Got some youngsters contributing but yes I wans't aware of all the transfers they got in, other than seeing their record weekly I haven't watched them until last night/tonight. They are legit. DeVries is doing a great job of literally rebuilding them every year from nearly scratch with the constant turnover.

Yes, I think Iowa is a lot better than either Maryland or Indiana, but road games are wild cards. Any given night a couple random bums can have career nights from 3pt line. Maryland has near zero post presence. Indiana had a undersized but super quick center--will probably put up 25 pts on Iowa but Garza might have 30+.

This is as deep a league as I've ever seen the conference. I forget the road schedule, but losing @ Nebraska this year would be the only unacceptable one this year - and even then you know they're going to catch a team or two on a night when the shots are falling for them.

I find that extremely unlikely. Conference cochamps who returned basically everybody and have a very impressive profile to KenPom. They are very, very good.

Wisconsin always seems to have a few early season struggles then gets everything ironed out later in the year. They are probably practicing a little harder this time of year and aren't as fresh for the games.

Actually, they aren't,.. They stumbled into the co-champ position last year and while in an average year they would be OK, the competition is going to be too much for them this season.

if you disagree with the computers and Vegas, well you are going to need a bit stronger support of your opinion than that. Wisconsin is very, very good. They defend very well, they can score efficiently, and they are very experienced. They are going to win plenty of games. T-rank's Big Ten win matrix gives them a roughly 95% chance of winning 11+ games in conference play (assuming they play 20) and about a 55% chance of 14+ wins.

While you might not like Wisconsin, I see no real way to argue they are not a very good team. Everything agrees (polls, computers, pundits) they are good this year.
