I agree. O'Grady is literally changing the game defensively. I love Warnock, but she's added nothing so far and is still in foul trouble. If ever there was a time to try O'Grady at the 4, now is it.
Someone not named Clark has gotta start contributing offensively.
It's this weird combination where you can tell they don’t want to make mistakes so they let stuff go, but also in doing so they make mistakes by not making calls so they feel obligated to make up for that...........and make even more bad calls.
Really strange half. Clark isn't playing well (but still has 19 points because she Caitlin Clark). Czinano hasn't had a huge impact. Warnock has barely played. Our role players aside from Taiwo aren't making threes. And yet we're still up 3.
Nebraska seems like its running on fumes, and that's helping with our defense. Seems like if we figure out the offensive side, we should win this.

I've seen a couple instances where they passed up open looks to get it to Clark.
That will weigh on a player's confidence.
I also assume in those cases specifically, Clark would've been fine with them pulling the trigger.
A few other things:
- Rebounding has been better, however.....
- there's been more than a few occasions where a ball fell into no-mans land with nobody really stepping up to go get it, thus allowing Nebraska a late second chance.
Clark didn't bother to box out on one such occasion and her girl eventually got the rebound, but Martin also could've left her girl who was clearly boxed out, to go grab the ball right in front of her
- They started to do a better job of finding Czinano in good positions to score, but when she has to post up, she got displaced a few times when trying to turn and shoot, and while you could argue a foul, Czinano also needs to re-establish that pivot foot before going up with the shot so she has balance, thus making it harder for the defender to displace her with her body.

Their hope is to hit 3s and they didn't do that enough in the 1st half to really get us in trouble.
There's only a couple girls who have shown they can get to the basket on our defense, so if they can adjust to show better help, and as you said, our offense begins to hit full steam, then yeah we'll be in good shape.
I'd also like to see them get over top of those screens more, but if Nebraska is gonna continue to miss that badly from 3, then its not as big a concern..........................................but I really do dislike tempting fate like that.
That wasn't a kick. The ball went off her foot but she made no attempt to hit it with her foot. Not a kick and no shot clock reset.
We need to finish this game right now. Don't let them hang around and possibly get hot from three.
I think her dad wanted the interview to end too so he could get back to watching the game.
And a great set play for Clark 3 to end the third quarter. 31 for Clark and Iowa leads by 13.
I've seen them do this in a earlier game. I don't care who the parent is, I don't want to watch an interview with them in the middle of the game
