just answering the poster's question regarding men & women gambling habits & why the 26 Iowa student athletes are all male

Seems specific as I hadn’t heard Ybarra, Hill and Links. Also, Assad is a name that has been kicked around since the start and he’s not on it which is interesting.
Same, have heard a couple more names but maybe with the new penalties they won’t be punished.
It’s so Iowa to make a national championship in Women’s basketball…… then have a bunch of our athletes in trouble for betting on it 😂 can’t have anything nice
Yep, and then they probably bet on the women to win it and lost their bets on top of getting punished for betting in the first place and we still didn't win the national title!

it's kind of a hit job; i just wish people wouldn't falsely name names when they (1) have no inside info and (2) have no idea what they're talking about

This coming from a guy (me) who has no idea on this gambling stuff.
i just don't think names/wrestlers should be dragged thru the mud when there's no evidence that any of these guys have been implicated

Nothing official announced, as far as I’m aware. Just rumors.
But maybe the Iowa State athletes bet against Iowa? At least something positive.
I have no idea who or what will come of this gambling debacle. With that being said and putting the off season transfers into the equation, I think PK, Cobe, Nelson, and Big Tony are strong possibilities. I'm guessing the staff is anticipating lengthy suspensions as well. Time will tell.
With the NCAA being notified May 2nd, and the subsequent modification to the guidelines for reports May 2 and later, I predict this whole thing has transformed from a near catastrophy to a bit of a nothing burger.
I bet we see mostly slaps on the wrist and short suspensions. Iowa's biggest problem may be managing a lineup whose once perceived holes have been plugged. Too many bodies for too few slots, someone is going to get frustrated.
