True to a point! I am referring to the issue of whether "attacks" from posters of other forums will be treated the same as the normal back and forth between Hawkeye fans ribbing each other. We can debate whether he adds anything to this forum or whether he is a friendly troll.

Attacks? Come on, aren't we a little sensitive any more? If someone disagrees, it isn't an attack. Come on, guys, one of the reason this board is more fun is there is a sense of humor at work.

I'm not a doctor but there seems to be an epidemic of broken humor bones around here at times. Must be from all of the wear and tear of wrestling in our misspent yout'.

If a topic has a"vote" option, should the visiting schools' posters be given a whole vote or maybe just 3/5ths?

We're all visitors here, imo.

This is an Iowa Hawkeye board so only Hawkeye fans get votes. Everyone can vote on the mat or open forum. Thankfully the mods agree with me that the visitors can join us in a respectful manner or be asked to leave. Their last house cleaning has made the board much more enjoyable.

Spooners cool you keep me pretty entertained on here to lol point blank I said when I first started posting here this was my favorite board to post on because of the discussion most know I'm an tOSU fan but we've still managed to have great discussions and I've barely had any childish back and forth because of who I choose to root for (not like some other boards ) you guys also did what my father couldn't even do which was change the way I looked at the Hawkeye program

I have a lot of favorites...many of you guys have been following the Hawks intently for a hell of lot longer than me...Spooner, WDM, Tarp, 23 so far, MinnHawk, WasDt, AFHawk,Ed...really too many to name. So I perk up and listen when you guys are talking about Gable's teams and old stories about the guys because I absolutely love them. When young guys like LAX, Omaha and Socal post, I feel like I get smarter. I have zero problem with opposing fans posting but some have hated Iowa for so long that it seeps through...they may not be in the troll category but you can feel the pissant in them. Otherwise, feel free to contribute and defend your guys and colors. Our sport is too small to play the rival stuff (especially during the summer), except in healthy debates and when the trolls/haters come around, guys like Souci, Chopper, Champion kick them around a bit. Speaking of pissant, I think The Mat is all about who is the most snarky although they do have some knowledgeable posters on the foreign guys. It's why I don't post there. BWI is good but they can get sensitive at times and OSU's can be dead.tOSU? I mean really, who wants to put their own name behind the stuff they post...Pretty pretentious if you ask me

I don't think BMI is not good, just not a lot of conversation at the moment. Great stuff when it is.

My son is working on his own board where we can all be one and still show alliances. He needed a new laptop for this. Lol. They said he's not only the smartest kid in class, but the smartest in his school. And I can't get him to STFU about wrestling. He's on social a media, just a matter of time. He's also friends with all the hotshot Iowa wrestlers so he has an in. Could be a fun year.

He wanted it before I explained we had HR. It is the premier wrestling board. He'll be on Instagram, I'll let you know.

BWI is good but they can get sensitive at times

I find no difference in sensitivity among the various team boards. Every board has those members who will defend the colors without stopping to consider any other viewpoints. Visit a board when a team loses a match or nationals or a top recruit and you better tread lightly. I think it's odd that people do get so sensitive about things that don't actually affect their lives, but that's why we each have our own personalities.

Now, quality of the boards is a different matter. Some definitely have more than others.
