Still would get to play an easier schedule
So you are saying you would still lose at the same rate but the games would be closer. I guess it's good to have goals. Keep striving to climb to below average. Baby steps indeed.

That's basically what I said. Texas isn't against expansion....if expansion doesn't hurt Texas. In that respect, Texas is like all the other members of the conference (or any conference). I think the only member of the conference that has expressed a strong pro-expansion position is Oklahoma, and since that comes solely from the president and he's been slapped down for his remarks by his bosses, even OU's position isn't all that clear. ISU has said it's open to discussion, which I think is where most of the members stand.I think you are wrong and it has been reported that Texas along with strong-arming TTech & TCU have been on the no-expand side. There are very few programs across the country that could be brought in that would diminish the number 1 revenue maker in the country in Texas. Adding CSU, Cincinnati, UConn, BYU, etc is not going to make Texas a little dog. If the LHN was ever put in jeopardy by the decisions of other league members then they simply leave to join another league or go independent so I do not buy that argument either. There is no league without Texas.
The rub is likely not wanting to travel for all sports to more remote out posts like UConn, Cincy, BYU, etc. and diluting the Texas voting block for decisions when weighing the true value of what any of those schools really add to the overall conference value and merit.
Nothing will happen without Texas's approval in the end and they will only sign-off on something that benefits their program.

and lose more games than they already do.
Well we already determined by the Massey Ratings on here Iowa State would have one more games last season with Iowa's schedule and that's not even including any potential upsets

Any program that could lose like ISU did at KSU does not need a different schedule to find more wins.
Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?
Are you trying to say UNMC is part of UNL? By that logic, UNO and UNK are also part of UNL.
I guess UNL already has a hockey team!!! Why aren't they part of the B1G hockey conference?
It sure is. Why is nebby so low on this list?

As I said, learning is fun. Please do so before posting incorrect information on this topic again. Thank you.
LOL! Like you should concern yourself with medical school rankings, when you have all the earmarks of a GED equivalency.
Why is Iowa ranked so low in Primary Care?

'One more games'? Nice job out of you. Good thing ISU didn't schedule NWMSU because according to Massey it would have been a beat down for the D2 school.
Like I said, I wish Iowa State got to play a Big Ten schedule

Unfortunately that isn't going to happen. Maybe beating all the FCS schools you play would help you look better to the Big Ten.

Does beating the current Big Ten coach of the year half the time you face him make us look better to the Big Ten?

Your easier schedule will come soon enough playing in the Mac in about 10 years or less. I can't wait for you to finally have a good season in the Mac and hawk fans can say but your schedule was so easy and your success doesn't mean anything. It will be good times and I couldn't see a better way to spend the rest of my life.
Iowa State will always be in a power conference but you can keep dreaming that they won't be
100% sure?
Yes. Iowa will always be in a power conference as well[/QUOTE
what makes isu attractive to stay power 5?

Very naïve way of thinking. I wonder if UCONN and the rest of big east fans thought big east football would collapse. There is a ton more money to be made by the biggest football powers. Think how much money the top 32 football programs in America could make if they cut everyone else out. I think the total power 5 teams will keep slowly dropping so they don't have to split the money with the schools that don't help the greater good. Keep thinking that change can't happen when money is involved.
Now I'm going to go enjoy a Holliday weekend hopefully you find more things to do with your weekend besides waiting for random people you don't know to reply to your posts on the this IOWA message board.

ISU record against the BIG, congrats you've won 18% of the time against the BIG in football. Great news for you, take out Nebraska and that win % explodes to 20%. You have never played OSU, MI or PSU. lucky for ISU.

tick tock tick tock...hear that? Thats the timer running out on your affiliation with a P5 conference. Tick tock tick tock...... goodbye Big 12...Goodbye ISU. 30 million dollars on an endzone project only to become a mid major...I'm telling ya I get all tingly just thinking about this impending Big 12 demise...oh its going to be delicious to watch cyclown fanatic melt down.Does beating the current Big Ten coach of the year half the time you face him make us look better to the Big Ten?

1) Your thinking is correct regarding Iowa.I don't think either Iowa or Iowa State will ever go to a mid major conference
1) Your thinking is correct regarding Iowa.
2) ISU would (will?) be in dire straights if (When?) the Big 12 dissolves. Nobody cares about them..nobody wants them. Where would they GO? Seriously who would want you...football drives the show and ISU is NOBODY in football.
I will stand by my statement that Iowa and Iowa State are both in fine shape moving forward
Lol.. Okay.... If you had to pick, which school has a higher probability of going mid major? Or do you think it's equal?
Equal since neither ever will
Lol. Nice dodge. I have yet to see an actual article speculating on Iowa being left out. I have seen that about ISU. Your choice to ignore that is interesting.
