Brody Grothus

Ok, I found this. Only a very small piece to the big puzzle. As Chief pointed out, the guy clearly grabbed Louden's wad (PSU fans, your expertise is welcome here) Louden was definitly surprised by it and knew what was going on, but he didn't seem overly upset by it. In fact, Louden is so not upset by it that he returns to the guy room than suddenly, he has a new pair of wrestling shoes! WFT! I'm mean. There's nothing wrong with it. To each his own, but where the hell did that tid bit of a plot come from? Was it necessary? Why didn't they explain that better? Or maybe a certain scene was taken out on purpose cause "it just got a little weird" was the consensus by the test audience?

Been almost 5 hours boys, this is the 3rd period per se...suck it up and finish it Iowa Style! What was it that Gable used to say, "The more you post on the thread, the less they post on yours"?

I just showed my wrestlers Competitor Supreme today (Terry Steiner shares this very quote in the video - circa 1992: "Gable says the more I'm in on his legs the less he's in on my legs.")

The wrestling community needs a newer documentary on Gable. Someone make it happen!

Was driving through IC tonight. Saw a disabled van on I-80. Pulled over to offer help but was told that they had already called for a tow truck to pull them into a service station. I decided to wait to make sure that they were in good hands. A few minutes later, Brody showed up wearing nothing but a singlet and a massive set of chains around his neck. Brody proceeded to chain up the van and pull it 3.5 miles to the nearest 24 hour service station....with his teeth (while doing 95 lb curls....he also had 50 lb per leg ankle weights with inward facing spikes). The family offered to pay him for the tow, but he refused and simply asked them to donate what they could to the Salvation Army. Brody is special.
Looks like it will be another late night for Brody. Upon returning the van to the service station he bumped into Gable who was just bringing in an 18 wheeler (with his bad hips and all). Dan turns to Brody and says "really just one van?" at which point the young mister Grothus had no choice but to go out looking for another.
In a side note Cael did manage to tow in a mini cooper and call it a night.

How about the most interesting man in the world commercials put on the scoreboard, the Dos Equis Man. :D

After watching the video clip I'm pretty sure Louden went back later and got some "free" shoes and then just blacked it out of his mind like it never happened...

Let it also be noted that as young Mr. Grothus ventured back out into the stormy evening, Cael, sitting cozy at Pennsylvania State University, was having much more fun. We all know that fun is the truest and most proven way to build a champion. For our sake, I hope Brody was at least smiling...

Seriously though, the youth wrestling in the quad cities was embarrassing and hard to watch. They do well in coaching them up at some level.

We have wrestled all over the country and I've never seen so many dudes in cowboy boots and spitters in their back pockets. I found that a little strange for that part of Eastern Iowa.

DT cannot catch a break. First Dake chases him down at every weight he goes to to give him a beat down . . . . and now Brody. He is going to be having nightmares.

I was thinking maybe something by sum 41.
Still Waiting
By Sum 41
So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

Drop dead a bullet to my head
Your words are like a gun in hand
You can't change the state of the nation
We just need some motivation
These eyes have seen no conviction
Just lies and more contradiction

So tell me what would you say
I'd say its up, to me

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

Ignorance and Understanding
We're the first ones to jump in line
Out of step for what we believe in
But who's left? To stop the pleading
How far will we take this
It's not hard to see through the sickness

So tell me what would you say
I'd say its up... to me

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

This can't last forever
Time won't make things better
I feel so alone
Can't help myself
And no one knows
If this is worthless
Tell me, so

What have we done
We're in a war that can't be won
This can't be real
I don't know what to feel

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

Yep Brody's song all right. This message board song as well.

Taking one for the cause.

Is Brody G more like the 2nd string QB on a team with questions at QB or a Tom Brady type talent, just waiting for a chance to shine?

Is this the fake Brody G thread or the real Brody G thread?

Didn't the combined Slaton threads reach 50,000 plus views?
(These were the true threads of Legendary Status-- heated, entertaining, revealing, humorous, informative. Did I mention heated.)

If Slaton had been allowed to wrestle @141 his senior season he would have __________?

Note: @141 without Slaton, Dake beat Marion in the finals @NCAAs

I have nothing but respect for Dan Gable but I can't imagine what's left to be said about him. I'd much rather watch a Terry Brands documentary (at least until they make a Brody Grothus one.)

What does Brody want for Christmas ?
datetaken

Word is that Brody took on Brooks and held his own yesterday. He now has an agonizing decision to make. In order to wrestle Midlands, he has to take on the youngest Sans Souci kid. Smart money says he makes his debut after Midlands.

I would like to take a moment and say Merry Christmas to Brody and his family (I went to HS with Ed and Judy) and have a Happy Holidays....but dont eat too much so you can stay at 141.....

We're almost at 13 pages and HIWILLIE needs to show up with some current info and updates or we'll kill this thread rightnow.

Holding it hostage..........

Guys and gals, I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, and SIAP, but am I wrong that pages on this board used to have 50 posts and now they only have 40? By my calculations to reach 13 "old pages" we need at least 17 in this new thread.

Also good luck Brody!

Pretty sure they have been 40.

Well, I think quite a bit more can be said/shown based on what transpired between 1992 and 1998...just sayin! :)

I can't say with 100% certainty but I think Brody is getting an extra workout in today. My daughter was on NORAD tracking Santa and she started yelling for me to come see Santa's sleigh as he had no reindeer only a young man in an Iowa singlet pulling the sleigh. While only getting a brief glimpse it sure looked like he was around 142 lbs and was using only one shoulder - pretty interesting. My daughter also had a brief glimpse of santa's list and she said she saw Steebler and Thomas on the nice list and Carl and J'den on the naughty list. Merry Christmas!

I think you are right that the "old" pages were 50 and these appear to be 40 posts per page.
