There is no compelling evidence that physical punishments have any positive impact on children. There is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

But if hitting a kid makes you feel like a man, I’m not here to tell you how to parent.

I was playing with my LEGO blocks as a 3 or 4 year old. My dad, who worked nights stepped on one and told me to put them away. I told him, f u you fat bast***. I don’t remember any of this part because I was too young. I do remember having a bonfire that night that included my blocks. Fun times.
