Anyone who has ever played backyard football in the snow, knows that the football feels like a brick and your hands turn to stone. I think it just felt different because we are used to seeing King make the interceptions, instead of almost making them. If he had caught one of those balls, this thread never gets started and we are talking about how high he will go in the draft. Overall, I think he had a very solid day( not his best) in less than optimum conditions.

not to derail the thread... but this is true, which makes the catches that t.smith had even more remarkable. he had the one at his shoe tops and then the one where he stretched out that resulted in the targeting penalty. granted that ball was dropped, but if not for the head shot, he was going to haul that ball in. the kid has hands and has a chance at the next level i think.

The football field is not a court of law, due process does not apply; its called Coach's discretion. Playing college football especially at the QB position is all about leadership. Leaders don't have women going to the hospital claiming rape happening in a room at the house he's responsible for. If he cant manage his own household he cant manage a team? Ferentz would have suspended every player there upon learning of the allegations ; not wait for due process especially given the subject matter. I'm a Conservative by the way.
I said the same thing. He just missed an interception at the North endzone. He came down hard on the ball and got up limping. It looked like the coaches were calling him off the field but it looked like he kept waiving them away. He wasn't the same the rest of the game.
Outside of the muffed punt, he played well Friday but he wasn't quite himself. Still, the kid is fantastic and he actually has me rooting against Nile Kinnick as a record holder.
