Maybe not with the same emotion, but I know there were about two or three times the last two games I asked why Fant isn’t on the field. It’s been noticeable. I don’t think there is a S or LB that can cover Hock or Fant. Keep them on the field imo.

I see coach Fant is happy the Hawks won on the road as a team to go 4-1 on the season.
The irony of course being that Fant’s usage and development (I.e. the coaching staff) is the only reason he’s currently arguably the best at his position.

Hard to argue that point. The best player should be on the field. The good news for Chris Fant is he will not have to "watch that mess over and over" next season because Noah will be playing on Sunday's.

Hockenson is the best OVERALL TE on the team at this point. Chris needs to understand that having off the chart measurables does not equate to being a better player. I don’t hear AJ’s dad crying about him splitting time with Hesse. Someone needs to grow up.
Someone needs to tell Da Coach to pound sand, Fant hasn't shown capable of blocking as good as some of the other TEs and in some situations He needs to come off the field , He also needs to have a few plays off during a game to stay fresh. PS maybe if He doesn't drop balls so often ( think OT at Northwestern ) He would be on the field all the time Coach .
Fant has the edge in the red zone as a receiving target. Hock is better everywhere else on the field. Who do you trust more to make a crucial block or a clutch catch?
Yep. Not the best blocker or most reliable HANDS of the TEs on our team... Let alone the nation. A special talent, but keep working hard an listen to your coaches. Iowa has a PROVEN track record of developing great TEs.

Yes, he is. I love fant, but he has dropped a lot of balls, and is not as good a blocker. Hence, the all around comment.
Hock has nearly twice as many snaps for a reason- better blocker, better hands. Fant has greater speed. Love them both
Game on the line throw to the TE I want it thrown to Hock every time, like I said think Northwestern OT last year and Wisconsin in the endzone 2 years ago . Fant is more explosive no doubt but Hock is money.
Interesting, the difference between how Epenesa’s dad and Fant’s brother handle the issue of playing time.

If someone really wanted to be a jerk they could reply with a gif of Noah’s Northwestern OT drop. That said, I have been a bit surprised on some situations when he has not been on the field.

I don't think anyone can say he will or won't at this point . Lot of factors will come into play but freaking Hayden Hurst went in first round this year

Fant might be the number one tight end on the team, but he's probably the 3rd or 4th best blocking tight end on the team. If he wants to play every down he needs to work on his blocking as well as his touchdown catching.
