Are we talking about something "pretty serious" being something someone said on the Internet?
And "his world" is it a wrestling message board? I'm having a hard time following this.
How many times can preseason rankings change before the season?!
I don't know his role on BWI, but on OSI one of the mods is the owner of the site. I would consider someone saying him plagiarizing as pretty serious considering it is his career and income. The main point is what is up with the plagiarizing comment? I've seen it mentioned twice. It's not too hard to explain what he means.
Yeah I don't understand how worked up people get about rankings. They literally have no effect on anything and are just for fans enjoyment.Now there is another reason myself don't all riled up about rankings.
MitchL accused the moderator of BWI of plagiarism. When he was asked to explain, he dropped a cowardly "good day, sir" and left the room.
What's so hard to follow?
One thing I do not like, it's half-statements, innuendos, and the like about another person's character no matter the colors with whom they are associated. We have seen this with Cael, Willie, Tom at BWI etc...posters that do it kind of look foolish with a bit of envy thrown in there. Cael is out recruiting us, then it must be funds from NLWC. Just seems like some Haterade getting sipped on.

As much as I don't want to defend Mitch, there is a big difference between Iowa/OSU board and PSU board. The Mod or Mods over at PSU will pull a thread and ban a poster quickly if they are in anyway slamming PSU compared to the other two which will let it play out. I have seen it happen and been involved in it. Not crying about it but just relaying some facts about it.
Not disputing that Mike...I have posted over there as well and know things can be a bit sensitive. I am talking about the plagiarizing comment which should be easy to prove.
I have a hard time understanding why anyone would lower themselves by posting over at BWI anyways, especially when you aren't drinking their Kool-aid in the first place. Getting booted over there seems akin to a mercy killing.
All PSU boards are like that. Their FB board has banned almost every Pitt fan that posts on their board. The PSU fans are on the Pitt board all the time complaining about Pitt fans being obsessed with PSU.
Well, those banned Pitt fans are hardly innocent lambs. There's a cadre of them that go to every Penn State opponents boards before games and spew Sandusky crap 24/7 - it's pretty pathetic. I'm from Eastern Pa and don't get the Pitt-PSU rivalry anyway.
I don't blame the mods for an itchy trigger finger in those cases. The same thing happens on Bama-Auburn boards where those people take it way too far.
I could go on, but we have gotten to the point that it is nothing more than a pissing match. I get that some don't appreciate my point of view. And quite frankly, I don't really care. When the day comes that the PSU fans and me agree on anything, I'll be worried.
And Chief... yea, no one else bickers on these forums. Now THAT'S weak. As others have stated... it's pretty easy to get the banhammer on BWI even without mentioning their imprisoned former asst football coach. I think I got mine from an argument with a long time poster over there. No big deal.
Now we all see that this discussion has gotten so far away from the thread title that it is, indeed, ridiculous. I said I wasn't going to respond, but some of you simply won't let go. Maybe some feel a bond to rip on an individual poster. To those... go for it.
I sincerely dislike the bandwagoners from PSU. Not exactly a well kept secret. But start a thread on the OT and keep the personal attacks off the wrestling forum.
I would go out on a limb and say Zain should probably be #1 at this point. I personally think he is better than shirt and sorenson at this point. He is pretty solid and aggressive on top. Neutrals tahirts ability on top and is better on his feet the tshirt. Be a dog fight 149 this year in the big tens. Is season here yet?
If aggressive means looking busy without trying to turn someone to accumulate riding time and eating clock I would agree. Zain was getting labeled as a "stall rider" his freshman year. Not knocking the kid. Many others who can ride do it as well...Sorensen included.
Can't speak for MitchL (nor do I want to) but the mod over at BWI used to consistently copy and paste entire articles in posts instead of linking to the article. Not a huge deal for people who don't work in the industry but in the internet age where clicks=$$$ its a big deal to the content creator (especially since I am sure BWI wouldn't appreciate Scout.com doing that). The standard is to post a snippet and then link the article. I haven't really been over there much lately so he may not do it anymore.

His posts lately - and for a while IIRC - just post the link and a quick comment on it, so if he was doing it incorrectly at one time, he has corrected it.
Not sure about the censorship thing - I know there are complaints about the free football board which he moderates (but I don't go on) about this, but on the wrestling board I have never seen this. The free boards for football can be a cesspool on some sites so maybe this is warranted. Not so much on the wrestling boards. There are plenty of HR guys who post over there and are welcome - including some of your more rabid Hawkeye fans like WildTurk. Welcome by most all I would say, except for Amalone, lol.
I would agree that he does post a lot of topics over there, in contrast to the HR, which seems to be almost exclusively user-driven. I frequent both boards and each has it's pluses and minuses in this respect. Not that there would be as much activity, but the moderator over there is a lot more vigilant in regards to cleaning up redundant topics and such, which can be an issue over here. There are only so many times you want to read the same thing by the same guys.
Love Ness but he was undisciplined in his positions and he took too many risks. It's why we liked him because sometimes those risks worked out, but then sometimes they didn't. Nolf doesn't make many mistakes like that. Not saying that Nolf goes in and dominates IMar...but I do think it has potential to be a toss up where one wins the dual and the other wins B1Gs with a tie-breaker at the NCAAs. It's a gut thing...much like Willie's Zain #2 ranking at 149

Yeah, that was bold. Someone here totally nailed the Imar-Nolf analysis after the pin. Talked about Imar really expending energy attempting to toss Nolf like a rag doll. Gibbons was saying it as it was happening to. I think Imar put way too much pressure to live up to his rep (like he was the challenger) through social media talk and such and gassed as a result.
