Iowa took Ellenson completely out of the game right away by doubling down every time he touched it. He was frustrated from the git.

You could see it on his face. It shook their whole team because they didn't have a counter option AND during that time out showing "wojo" stuttering and stammering and unable to give ANY coaching of any kind, shows how shocked they were.

Iowa's plan was flawless.

Wojo's TO had to be the most uninspiring inside look I've ever witnessed. It just shows how experience is important in all walks of life.

I don't think Fleming is going to play big minutes, but Fran keeps playing him and saying positive things about his fearless play. If nothing else, Fran needs to have another perimeter player ready to contribute if someone is injured. I like Ellingson's game and think he will probably be the first guard off the bench for the rest of the season (assuming Sapp continues to start), but let's see how he handles playing against the great guards on the higher level teams. I think Fran at least wants Fleming on the back burner, ready to play if needed.

Hawks struggled in both exhibitions. Probably a combo of allot of factors, seems to be behind them now.

Exhibitions are for experimenting with lineups, see how new players react and hopefully still win the game. A ton of new pieces on this team trying to learn to play with each other. I think if we would have simply went into that game wanting a W we would have got it.
