Belem is one of those kind of rare forms for me. Politically and his hatred for Caitlin … not my bag. But we have a ton of other common interests. As long as no politicos or Iowa sports, Belem and I would be good.

Right. But there’s a difference between what curtisj, presumably a white guy, says about the Iowa basketball team and a black person saying it to be degrading to white people. Conversely, black people flippantly saying the n-word or using slurs toward other black people to be funny is a lot different than the shit @HawkeyeHitman wrote about the South Carolina women’s basketball team.

My one and only point is that the two terms (cracker and the n-word) are not on equal footing because of history. However, use of both toward a different race with the intent to be degrading should be equally taboo and equally consequential in 2024.
Of course, we all know that if tomorrow Don Imus got on the radio and referred to Angel Reese as a “nappy-headed ho” and Stephen A Smith said Caitlin Clark is an overrated Saltine who has no business being in the GOAT discussion, we all know which one would have his ass in a sling and which one would have 5,000 tweets in the first ten minutes defending what was said.
