The group that won this game for us consisted of three sophomores and two freshmen. Bodes well for the future.
Honestly those 5 should be playing 25 minutes or more each in tight games. Kreiner, Pemsl, Wagner, and Ellingson shouldn’t be in for much more than 10 minutes, maybe fewer, barring foul or injury issues. Baer coming back will change this a bit, probably stealing time from the backups and a few minutes from the starters to get to 20-25 minutes and Conner ever being healthy will reduce Ellingson’s minutes some. But we shouldn’t be trying to get the backups 15 to 20 minutes in close games. Each of them have one or more major holes in their game.
Pemsl = horrible ft shooter and lack of jumping ability hurts his rebounding a bit
Kreiner = decent at most things but not really good/great at anything
Wagner = horrible ft shooter and not much of anything on offense
Ellingson = not a very good ball handler and below average on defense
Conner = who knows until we see him in a real game
