It was a foul.

But I hear the point that that never gets called at the end of a game. I would be livid if it had happened the other way around (although we don’t set hard illegal screens like that so that’s fantasy land).

What sucks is they looked like the shot they were gonna get off was horrible and so we would’ve most likely won even without it. But now everyone is only gonna talk about how we were handed the game.

When you watch the play in full speed it was clearly a foul. She friggen jumped out and body checked her. As far as SVP and the 2 UCONN players - fuggem.

Van Pelt says the call shouldn't have been made with 3.9 seconds left. It was a blatant foul and should have been called at any point in the game

Just want to point out that there is probably a greater than 50% chance that regardless of the foul that UConn misses the shot anyways. People seem to be assuming that UCON scores if the foul isn't made.

Agreed it was an illegal screen. However, that's not called 99% of the time. It's especially not called in a game where refs have been letting them play rugby all game and swallowing their whistles.

I'm ecstatic, I'm totally fine with it. We are in the Natty game! Just saying if roles were reversed, I'd be mad.

I’m confident when my teams are good except playing other teams that have that championship “aura”. Kim Mulkey last year. Geno. There’s just programs and teams that you don’t want to meet in the playoffs. Win or lose Sunday, I will always be thrilled Iowa beat UConn in a Final 4.

It would have bounced off the rim, hit the backboard, hit the rim again (spinning like a top), the other side of the rim, almost lipped out the front, and fell gently through the hoop

I thought it was a fairly obvious call. Would get called some of the time though rarely at end of a game. She stuck her elbow out, otherwise likely not called.
