I think critiques of the call are fine. What gets me is assuming UConn makes a bucket there. Frankly Iowa has recovered and it was going to be a forced shot. Also the conspiracy theory folks drove me nuts. If there is a conspiracy there is absolutely no way you wait for that moment. It would have been very easy to foul out 2-3 UCONN players of there was a conspiracy.God I hate ESPN. Looks like they are going to stir the pot.
I was was watching that and thought that Caitlin gave the air of zero shits given about GenoGeno with a brushoff, oops excuse me, quick congratulation to Clark.
right right, but people are mad about taking away that chance. like being called offsides on a recovered onside kick.Just want to point out that there is probably a greater than 50% chance that regardless of the foul that UConn misses the shot anyways. People seem to be assuming that UCON scores if the foul isn't made.
well, that's what you get when you move your elbow into the opponent....
The UConn campus is pretty much literally ESPN's backyard, so of course they are going to skew all viewpoints in their favor.ESPN talking about the FOUL...
Thanks..I've been on team Hannah for weeks.I posted before halftime that she’s been underwhelming for weeks. She obviously read my post at the half and took offense to it. You’re welcome.
Wow…..some of you guys…
We are 3 of 14 from 3, Clark has none…
We have 12 TOs, we are shooting 37%..
They 3 girls with 2 fouls…
We played as bad as we could and we are losing by 6….
And we overachieved ALL year…WTH?!
They were tired at the end there to.
We will win by 10 plus.
Hannah was a bad ass bitch all night.I didn't follow the game thread as I was busy scaring the shit out of my kids cat...but where are the dipshits that love to bash Hannah...we won because of her so I'm sure some are on the ledge about now. And if this doesn't make sense...I'm a tad baked right now
Again, pay attention to the screener's left elbow and forearm
yup, she tried to be sneaky and it backfired....poor Geno...lol
This guy has the real shitI didn't follow the game thread as I was busy scaring the shit out of my kids cat...but where are the dipshits that love to bash Hannah...we won because of her so I'm sure some are on the ledge about now. And if this doesn't make sense...I'm a tad baked right now
A foul no questionExtended elbow on a screen isn’t a foul?!?! Since when, ESPN. F U!
Like an illegal fair catch signal….lolright right, but people are mad about taking away that chance. like being called offsides on a recovered onside kick.
I think that she missed some chances to drive the ball. That's what happens when you have trouble getting the ball. As soon as you're open, you shoot, whether it's a good shot or not.
She sold it well, but she does that. It's part of her being a good playerA foul no question
Cash money Kate.Martin was pretty damn clutch down the stretch.
exactly!Gabby did a good job of selling that call. Personally, I thought it was a foul, but pretty tough to call in that situation. I mean, if that would have been us, this board would be blowing up.
Like an illegal fair catch signal….lol
SureIt’s funny really when you voice text they throw a lot of extra commas in there.
Sometimes I get it fixed sometimes I don’t…
Although I have the sense you think this somehow is a jab or it will make me feel bad if that was your goal it did not….🤷♂️
A million times zero is still zero. But i agree with your sentimentIt was a foul. Period. Elbow, forearm, and hip all extend.
Coopers fair catch penalty was a million times worse than this call.
Chicken wing sticks outAgain, pay attention to the screener's left elbow and forearm
Extending/reaching to create contact is a foul. Or at least, should be.
I noticed that.I was was watching that and thought that Caitlin gave the air of zero shits given about Geno
yeah its a weak argument. if the argument is "ya its a fould but..... not in the last seconds", why should 1 team get to settle it on the court by doing something illegal?Van Pelt says the call shouldn't have been made with 3.9 seconds left. It was a blatant foul and should have been called at any point in the game.
Yes, clearly it was a foul. But the sad reality is that fouls are not called evenly throughout the game. No one is complaining if that gets called with 6 minutes to play in the second quarter. But the BS narrative that the game should be decided by the players and not the refs ignores the fact that the refs change the outcome by not calling an obvious foul.It was an obvious foul. Still moving. Hip jutted out. Elbow extended.
