In my view they won the league. Not in a MILLION years did I think they would win ALL 4 of these last games. That was an UNREAL run!!! They are playing the best of anyone right now and it just makes me want to puke....but DANG they are impressive!!!

yeah. They got a three week rest period, played a weaker schedule, played three less games than everyone else and got destroyed by Illinois on their home court.

No question that was a hell of a run . They are playing better than anyone right now . Curbelo is gonna be a nightmare to deal with the next couple years
I will admit that I didn't think the Illini would live up to the hype. Not that they would have been bad but I thought they would finish around 4 or 5 in the Big Ten. They seem to never quit and are very balanced. Going to be tough to beat them.
Now that I have vomited... I still say Garza is the player of the year being an actual center and putting up the numbers he has. It isn't a shot at Ayo but with the way basketball is going I don't know that you will see a Garza again. Certainly not here...

I was thinking about making a thread regarding this. Michigan is obviously a great team but playing significantly less games then the rest of the league is sketchy. But maybe they have a key injury in those games, maybe their legs aren't a fresh as other teams... I dunno... I think it's kind of bullshit really. It's a weird ass year though, so w/e at this point. I'm not making an argument for Iowa because dropping two games to a shitty Indiana team means you don't deserve a Big 10 title.
They are very good. Michigan is too. Iowa has shown flashes...and no one talks about Purdue who might be playing as well as any one. TOSU has plenty of talent...wonder if they get straightened out this next week? Wisky, tOSU and Rutgers need to get it figured out very quickly...but they all have the talent to do so. MSU doesn’t have the talent of the others, but Izzy gets his kids ready to compete..and the refs seem to find Tom extremely likeable.,

Curbelo has to be one of the scrawniest players I have ever seen that was that good. Hard to believe the skinny kid can take the physical nature of this league and survive much less dominate as a Fr. What are the chances he goes pro this year?
He needs to work on his outside shot before he has a chance to play at the next level. You're not getting rid of him that easy....

They got smoked by mn, and illinois so obviously they could have been beaten more times. Add in no rest and playing a full schedule and things could have been significantly different. They’re a great team, but not getting penalized for taking a 3wk break is a joke. The BIG has basically bent at the knee for the high profile programs in both football and now basketball. I hate IL, but they deserved the title this yr
If they win the BTT And make a run to the final four it’d be the most incredible run of all time.. how many ranked teams would that be in a 10-12 game stretch? Hell how many top 10 teams
The Illini are the real deal, They have everything needed to make a run at a Natty, Michigan is the same, IMO Iowa is just a notch below, They can do damage but they will need a good draw and perhaps a break or two to go all the way, As always in the NCAA is the fact that one poor shooting night can send a better team home or one great shooting night can move a lesser team on.
Hate, respect and humility are not mutually exclusive when it relates to your Rival.
