If you voted for Obama, I'm asking for your help

I will be paying $12,600 for my insurance DEDUCTIBLE & Copay next year!!!! I have surgery scheduled in 2016 and my out of pocket will be $12,600. My out of pocket used to be $4,000 and my premium was much lower.

You dumb asses who voted for this narcissistic socialist can now sit proudly. Your know it all liberals voted for the ACA to find out "what was in it". Well now I know. Do you?

I know you're all compassionate people. Perhaps you could send me a donation to assist with my obligations. I could really use the help.

And now your option is Hillary? You liberals are NUTS!!!!! F%CKING NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So herk, what's the real cost of you operation? Why should the general public pick it up? Not sure if all you so describe republicans really understand/appreciate the real cost of things.

I know you mean that in kindness and thank you. I am educated. I have vast experience in business. And I've been called upon by the U.S. government to participate on health care panels. This bill, in my not so humble opinion, is one of the greatest travesties in our countries history. The consequences have yet to be seen. I hope I don't live to see it. Ottumwan in Texas hit it on the head. Obama/Sachs. Just amazing how Obama can tell lies pathologically and liberals find ways to justify what he say.

For someone who claims to have connections to the HC industry, you certainly have a rather poor grasp of the financial aspects here, regarding premiums, copays, deductibles, etc.

And if you need to 'ask' someone for an Iowa insurance co-op phone number, that doesn't sound like someone who has taken a legitimate crack and reviewing all of their insurance options before signing up....

Ahhhhh, nice catch. (Trick question on my part.) I was asking because in Iowa, Cooportunity folded. Nearly half of the 23 non-profit co-ops have closed. Many insiders consider this to be the canary in the coal mine. Well called Joe.

Sorry you suck and got fired from selling insurance. Don't blame that on the government. If I remember correctly you were unemployed well before the ACA came along. The government is just better at your job than you are. It's really not surprising to anyone buy you.
Weren't you unemployed and beating your wife for a while? Why are you always attacking others' employment?

Many of the co ops folded, because they were promised 'backing funds' to remain solvent per state regulator rules (they need to have a certain amount of money 'in reserve' to properly function).

The feds balked on providing that funding, so many had no choice but to close up shop; in CO, we had the state Co Op which was financially healthy, was ahead of schedule on its repayment plans, and was providing good competition vs. the standard insurers. BUT, they were reliant on a pile of 'startup' cash that was promised to them, and then Congress didn't follow through. Thus, those 'failures' (at least in CO) are 100% on Congress 'playing politics' and NOT on the Co Ops overspending or losing money.

The insurance companies are all 'ok' with this, because it limits competition.

This has NOTHING to do with your assertion that you somehow have >$12,000 in out of pocket medical expenses next year; you clearly cannot do your homework on this issue, and sound much more like a shill or complainer here. The Republicans in Congress are doing the country, and their constituents, a huge disservice by formally hampering groups working within the ACA laws to do their jobs. Are there problems with the law? Absolutely. But instead of fix them, Republicans are trying to make them worse, and are costing taxpayers a LOT more money.

The CO Co Op is going to end up NOT paying back the government financing it got for starting up BECAUSE they are forcing it to shut down early, and millions will be unpaid to do that. It's a ridiculous waste of our government's resources to actively work AGAINST the Co Ops and entities that were actually doing just fine....

Well stated. The shill comment was deserved. I have done my homework. You did add some insight to my understanding. Thanks. I will also state that I am always disturbed and angry when the government attempts to run "ANYTHING". Politics, lack of accountability, etc. lead to more waste and corruption. I see this as a monumental error. I do believe the insurance industry sold their souls to the devil.

You need to take your facts and serious insight and GTFO of here.

And exactly who did you blame for that prior to 2008...when the SAME THING was going on?

Does not matter what happened before 2008. Obama care was supposed to solve all your problems. Before Obamacare, the libs claimed there were 36M uninsured. Less than 1/4 of those people got insurance from Obamacare. So the program was less than 25 successful, which by any definition is failure.

Many bought plans directly thru insurers, and NOT thru the federal site.

Weren't you unemployed and beating your wife for a while?

You should probably consult SP on this question. He'll set you straight. I haven't been unemployed since I was 15 years old and I've never laid a hand on my wife (outside of the bedroom of course).

Why are you always attacking others' employment?

Do you associate me with attacking people's employment? I don't remember doing that in the past. I just like busting OiT's chops whenever possible regardless if he's Ned Ryerson or delivering tires.

Congress members and the president should have been put on these shit plans like David Vetter proposed but they dont want to live like real American. They have there golden Cady plans!
