We used to have playmakers on DL that would make a play at some point in the series and get a punt. less defensive line talent and offense are better getting the ball out. I don't think we'll see Iowa defense like 2004 or 2009 again.

Do you think the receivers are the strength of this offense? I don't think the receivers are any better this year than they were when CJ was here.
To answer your question, no, I don't think Stanley is better than CJ. IMO, Stanley is putting up better numbers than CJ because he's being put in better position to succeed because we are throwing to our TEs more, more passes in the middle of the field, and more intermediate/long passing attempts. With that said, Stanley has still played pretty well for a true sophomore.
Like Snyder - complete waste of a jockstrap, should be benched, should have his scholly pulled - then runs a pick 89 yards for TD. That's the Snyder we know, vintage Snyder, why don't we play him more. ETC., etc., etc.
Hockenson has sure been a bright spot this season.
There is no doubt receivers are better because Kittle/Vandy were hurt most of last year. Easley, ISM, Hockensen, and improved Fant.
