What I don’t get is playing Dix and Bowen together. Two freshmen guards playing against a team that is overplaying and physical on the ball.

It'd be pretty rad if Iowa started a new tradition that every home game against Illinois Iowa donates tickets to the Boys and Girls Club.
Pmac is not helping because of his refusal to rebound and play defense. And his offense is pretty erratic as well. Not to mention the team chemistry when he is in the game declines. JMO

Down when 1 at half when the shot selection from Iowa was awful is something I'll take. Ulis, Perkins, McCaffrey need to take better shots in the 2nd half. Iowa's done a horrible job trying to get it to Rebraca on the block. A post presence could have a field day with how Illinois is playing defense.

Can't underestimate how huge that Kris 3 at the buzzer was. Just mega huge.
And they come to the game in orange krush shirts and right before tip off the kids take the shirts off to reveal Hawkeye gear.
If they are going to sag off Rebraca and clog the lane I wonder if we could rotate and get some open 3s. I think Rebraca takes the space then kicks.
I feel similar. Feels like we are hanging around but it's been tough for us to score and easy for Illinois.
We have to get better on the glass. We are getting smoked there.

Yeah. I didn't understand putting Bowen in. It's not like Perkins or Ulis has 2 fouls. It was unnecessary.
