Hittin the bong again Rocky? Colorado is definitely the state for the weak minded.
So you CAN'T afford Arkansas?! Lol, I was hoping that you lived in NE Texas & could commute to work from Ark.

Between the two of us we've got to get your life figured out. We're running out of time!

LOL! He is not very good so he gets so many tackles by being in position to make them. You are sharp as a tack.

First of all, not my words. Second, reading isn't your strong suit. Some of the best defensive players don't get a lot of tackles because nobody goes at them. He, the former D-1 player and longtime HS coach stated that he gets lots of opportunities because he's not a good LB and teams run at him.

Lanning plays Mike linebacker. Look up the responsibility of the position. He is the QB of the defense. Don't hide behind someone else as you chose to post the nonsense.....I read just fine.

I commute by plane, so no worries. Your fog colored glasses won't help me look.

I was talking with the head FB coach at my town's high school this week and he's a diehard, Cyclones are the best, Iowa's the worst type of fan. However, he said that he couldn't believe that anyone's even mentioning Lanning as an NFL prospect, because he can't diagnose plays and misses way too many tackles. The only reason he gets as many tackles as he does is because he's not very good and smart teams go at an opposing defense's weak spots, giving him more chances to make tackles.
He's clearly still learning the position, but is getting better each week.

Lanning is doing a good job, however he is not as good as Jewell, end of story. Why is this a thread. Wait until draft day then see.

No end of story.......5 games and Lanning is better than Jewel, is pretty remarkable for the potential Paul Hornung award winner

I'm not sure more than one or two people think Lanning is as good a linebacker as Jewell at this point.

If Josey Jewell had to play some QB this year we'd be slobbering all over it demanding national recognition ourselves.

Heisman/reality...absurd today. But if you think about it, this is a MLB playing QB and not just a token play or two, but important pieces of a for-the-school historic game.

That's Chuck Bednarik type stuff, only better. I'd have to think nobody has done anything even remotely close to it in 50+ years.

And just think if he does it the rest of the season, leading ISU to say a 7-5 though...

Heisman talk is silly at this point, but that doesn't diminish what he did, which in a lot of ways was modern day historic.

Agreed. He was a huge part of ISU winning that game.

Doesn't bother me. Kid played two ways in a historic victory. Good for him. Heisman is a neat trophy for whoever gets it, but is it really that big of a deal? And we're only halfway through the season anyway, so don't let it get to you, man.

Wasn't there a Holy Cross player who was invited to NYC because he was playing two ways? In the 80s?

Gordie Lockbaum

Laugh all you want, but the only thing keeping Lanning from being a serious Heisman contender is the fact he'll be splitting the vote with his teammate, a guy that's on track for 4,000 yards passing, 36 TD's and only 5 INT's.

No way either of them will win since they hail from flyover country (and we all know about the east/west coast bias) but wouldn't be surprised to see them both get an invite to NYC this December.

Lol, even worse! Nobody I feel more sorry for than airport guys.

You're going to hate me but I commute by bike or walking! Music, thinking, & exercise on my way to work everyday.
Foggy dream I am sure you have on your way. Walking down to the complex office makes for an easy commute for you. There is something to be said for the simple life.

Rather see Lanning win it than another Alabama running back. At least he's doing something notable on the football stage.

I don't think that's likely and I think it's actually Barkley's to lose at this point. Personally, if I was casting a ballot today I'd probably go with Falk as I love his story and that team is fun to watch with him at QB.

You keep getting fat & try to make the best of living in Texas. Lol, maybe someday you'll be smart enough to figure out a career where you're not "flying". Until then you can live through me!

Nice life you got there, lmfao!
