Iowa vs Alabama

Alabama opens with USC this year. The OP failed to mention that. You know what? By their standards, the SEC was down last year. And yet, they were still the best conference in college football.
Here are last year's bowl results for the SEC:
Championship: Bama 45, Clemson 40
Cotton: Bama 38, MSU 0

The SEC went 9-2 in bowl games and produced the national champion. So, no offense, but comparing Alabama's schedule strength to Iowa's is smoking rocks.

the only reason people don't understand me is because they are brainwashed by ESPN.
people don't realize how effeminate it is to say Iowa can't compete with the big boys of Alabama.
last year was last year... .the year before the Big Ten won the National Championship... so any argument that the SEC is better than the Big Ten this upcoming season comes from the Brainwashing of ESPNers.
my overall point is that people are going to be shocked again this year when Iowa wins the whole thing.

1. Not sure anyone said iowa couldn't compete with Bama on a single game basis. (This thread was started with the idea that the sec is just an average conference w/o bama.. which is still bs)

3. I don't know who your talking to but when ESPN has iowa as a dark horse your the only one that will be surprised when we are competing for a tourny bid at the end of the year.
