when did the charge rule change. I always thought you had to be planted and basically run over. Now in college basketball as the defender you are able to run with the guy with the ball, jump in front of him and fall over and it’s a charge. I hate it and wish they would stop calling charge fouls so often

NW defense overrated. We had a ton of great looks, but one of the worst shooting performances I’ve ever seen. Must be using the NCAA tournament ball?

I saw a bit of plastic on the floor from when I cut a bag open earlier, so picked it up, walked it open to the open trash bag, dropped it in, and it bounced off the top, out of the bag, and onto the floor.

Couldn't agree more and it's been our good shooters taking them. Peyton 1-5 Kris 0-4. If you're going to lose with those 2 getting open looks and missing then it's just not your night but there's a lot of game left.
Yeah, both teams played sloppy as f*** in that 1st half. The difference is Iowa can't make a wide open 3 and Northwestern can.
I laugh at the analysts trying to oversimply this for the idiots watching and say that this is because of tremendous Northwestern defense.
I would say the number of those 15 misses from 3 that were even close to being contested could be counted with one finger.......................

I disagree. Iowa shot uncharacteristically poorly. I suspect if you looked at the expected scoring Iowa would be predicted to be winning based on shot opportunities. Iowa is missing uncontested 3s.
This kind of game is sort of what seems to happen in NCAA tourney for Iowa....nobody can buy basket, defense not great, go home early.

Don’t think one ever had to be planted. Can be moving. It’s a tough call that’s missed frequently. Personally I’d like to see them call a foul on offensive players moving the defender with his shoulder. Easy call yet ignored
