On what planet??I'm using $100,000 per year for 40 years as the rationale.

I doubt Iowa has spent much on the roster thus far and can come up a decent amount from where they started. This aligns with a poster's (on TOS, again, we all know how unreliable that can be) update this morning...
Thursday morning update: Word should start to get out today about Dix. Return to Iowa still on the table. One source said it's Iowa or Indiana at this point, however not dismissing Illinois at this point.
At what point in time? 21-22? They were basically even. Patrick started. Kris didn't. Their stats were almost identical. At that point in time, he was better than Kris. Most people on this board thought Kris was a waste of a scholarship and only here because of Keegan. Argue that all you want.
And now Pryce as wellAnd a post that from @iowaathletes in another thread...
"And I heard Josh just followed Bennet on IG"
I beg to differ. Dix would be a huge get for IA this year. Heck, he's a top 10 guard in the 247 Portal. Put him in the backcourt with Stirtz (#1 guard I might add in 247 Portal) and IA would have one of the top backcourts in the country. He'd be a major asset in terms of educating the newbies on the B1G teams, coaches, players, tendencies, etc. Just because he wasn't used last year effectively with a substandard team and coach doesn't mean he wouldn't be a major asset this year.Either he goes or he stays.
Not a big deal due to the fact that we were nothing special last year with him.
Time to move on.
And don't forget how BenMc likes the back door plays. Josh was very good at finishing these types of plays.I beg to differ. Dix would be a huge get for IA this year. That being said, it's a definite long shot to get Dix back at this point.
Some folks definitely think it'd be good to get Dix involved in the back door. NTTAWWT.And don't forget how BenMc likes the back door plays. Josh was very good at finishing these types of plays.
He was special and one of the best half court offense players we have had in a very long timeEither he goes or he stays.

That is a misguided take. He is one of the top players available in the portal and if he stays with the Hawkeyes our starting 5 is a whole lot better.Either he goes or he stays.

I would gladly take that, although Pryce could have contributed, and maybe for 2 years. Not getting Sandfort may have freed up some $ for Dix.
if Dix comes back he is a great player. If he leaves he sucks.

Better stop talking like that…..@cmhawks99 will get too excited! Some folks definitely think it'd be good to get Dix involved in the back door. NTTAWWT.
What?!
Someone had to say it.
I wasn't expecting it, but if true, excellent! If you can't believe Boxbugga, who can you believe - Iowa Burner Network perhaps?
Or Hawkisoaker and the hammer....until I hear that I won't believe it...If you can't believe Boxbugga, who can you believe - Iowa Burner Network perhaps?
Yep, saying losing Dix is like saying a baseball team wouldn't need an Ernie Banks just because the Cubs never made the playoffs wth him on the roster.I beg to differ. With @1500 souls in the Portal, it seems that comparable production (or close to it) to Dix could be obtained (and cheaper).Yep, saying losing Dix is like saying a baseball team wouldn't need an Ernie Banks just because the Cubs never made the playoffs wth him on the roster.
There were still some good pieces on last year's team.
If Josh returns they might have the best backcourt in the B!G next year.Either he goes or he stays.

Dumbest take ever. Plenty of good players play on bad teams. Michael Jordan’s first Chicago team sucked. You wouldn’t take Michael Jordan?Either he goes or he stays.

Still think he ends up at Creighton.
Everything is speculation at this point. I think it's between iowa, Indiana, illinois, and Kansas. You think he wants to be around low energy Owen?
Creighton probably has one of the largest NIL funds in the country. You think he wants to be around low energy Owen?
Illinois, Indiana? So much for being closer to home. This aligns with a poster's (on TOS, again, we all know how unreliable that can be) update this morning...

Still need a big 5Dix is a great player and combine him with Stirtz and a team of players that made the tournament without Dix? Damn. This would be amazing news. And Dix was our best defender by a longshot adding that to a team with a good set of supporting defenders. Let's go Josh! We could be an amazing team next year. Josh playing with a team that simply wants to be a team like he does woukd be a real set up for success.
The Hawks last year had a team of teammates and a player or two that seemed only trying to enhance their resume.
