Little Debbie has lost 4 or more games in a season 21 Years in a Row (2004-2024). Had 8 year Drought (Oct 15, 2016-Nov 23, 2024) of a 6 win season

Why are you so obsessed with this Iowa forum on the Rivals network?

And why are you "contributing" to this thread?

Don't answer; I am just shaking my head and pointing out your hypocrisy.

This thread makes me laugh!

Not many teams in the Big 10 on Rivals has a free board? I believe three, haven't check the new teams.

Write a Nebraska thread and you'll get Nebraska replies. Pretty simple concept.

i have to answer this one based on the the originator being a hypocrite. You initiate a thread about Nebraska that turns into 10 pages on an Iowa board and then claim we're obsessed with Iowa. That's hypocrisy by definition.

Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Pretense - an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.

‘ about Nebraska because they can see what is coming?’
It’s not Groundhog Day yet.
Lather, rinse, repeat
Martinez will win a B1G championship before he’s gone
Look at our off season recruits
Our weight room numbers are awesome, better then when steroids were rampant
No, we mean it this time this OC knows Nebraska football
THIS COACH is really the answer, we’re actually serious this time
Like a loop of bad comedy

‘Did you know we have a sell out streak?’
‘Like my starter jacket?’
‘Pop this into the VHS would you?’
‘Osborne was just doing what was best for the player’

Did I miss any?
Multi time off season national champions!!!! This time they really mean it!!! Hey, stop laughing, they really, really mean it……. Like the swallows to Capistrano…… lather, rinse, repeat
Ok, I have to respond to this. I have read repeatedly from Iowa fans that Nebraska fans live in the past. The old lather, rinse, repeat garbage. The sell out streak, starter jacket, VHS tapes, steroids, Osborne, etc., etc. Tell me exactly who is living in the past? Most Nebraska fans were not born yet or were too young to remember the glory years. I have not heard or read anything about the 80's and 90's from Nebraska fans. However, it always shows up over here. You want recent history? Look at the last few Iowa-Nebraska games. No one is talking about the old days. We get extremely frustrated in having a superior team on paper only to end up with the last second field goal to lose the game. Rhule is doing things his predecessors didn't do. He changes coaches when necessary and is always recruiting over current players. He is trying to make the changes necessary to improve the program.

Iowa is an interesting program. You have had some terrific NFL players. You consistently have a good to great defense. The special teams are always exceptional. But everyone can see you have basketball and football coaches who are comfortable with how they are doing things. I would be very concerned if those coaches were replaced by up and coming young coaches who would make Iowa very dangerous.
I don't mind the negative comments toward Nebraska. We have underachieved in the recent past but I can see tangible growth in the basketball and football programs. I would just ask you Iowa posters to retire the worn out cliches from the past. We have moved on and so should you. I can tell you the players are not familiar with the 80's and 90's. They want to win now. At least come up with some current insults. Thank you!!

Yeah, I'm sure you missed a few, but this is a really good start. Oh, and not to mention the broken Nebbie fan who for years now spends every day on here posting emojis under dozens of 3rd grade usernames. And yet, they still don't understand why we loathe and ridicule them. They're a weird bunch alright.

Holgerson is the latest Whipple, Rhule is the new Frost, Raiola is the next Martinez
Before Frost was the new
Martinez was the new
This batch of 4 and 5 star recruits are the answer for the last batch which were the answer for the previous batch which were the answer

It has been a pretty similar formula with changing names. Does it apply to the fans on a Nebraska board? No clue, haven’t ventured over there.

Does it apply to the vast majority of the Debbie fans who venture over here? Yup and It may be too nice for some of them. Apply to you? Probably not but your brethren have earned it for you. Police those jackwagons if you want a project

10-1. We own debbie. Don't like the old, lame insults?

Leave.

Nope. It's hilarious comparing Whipple with Holgerson and Frost with Rhule. You didn't say that but Cid did. Stupid statements like that keep me coming back.
Go read the threads when Whipple was hired, eerily similar to Holgerson.
Frost was the prodigal son coming home.
And news flash….. I didn’t say it, I repeated it… from the OWH, the posters on this board, the AD’s, Osborne…… you really are in a serious state of denial if you have forgotten the off season hype machine for the school out west. Do your homework, go back and google a little bit. See what you find.
Just stop coming here with your Eddie Haskell routine. Deny that it is similar? Say goodbye to any credibility you have.

I don't care about my credibility I have here. And I like Eddie Haskell. I remember the hype with Frost. Yes, everyone thought he was the golden boy returning home. I think everyone was surprised and disappointed that didnt work out. Whipple was an unknown around here. I don't think there was much buzz about him. Rhule and Holgerson have way more experience and a proven track record. The upswing in recruiting indicates to me that players respond to them as well. It is natural to have some encouragement with new coaches. Unfortunately, we have to wait until next fall to really find out if it going to work.

Iowa seems to have let Lester try to recruit players particularly quarterbacks. I expect Iowa's offense to be much better next year.

They truly don't understand how dumb it is.

Random Iowa transplant at work running over from 90 feet away to butt into college football talk: IT AIN'T THE 90s BROTHER!!

OK I was talking about the 2024 CFP but thanks for the reminder.

You can't talk football with most of 'em. I spent years of my life in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida for work, and always had good conversations with college football fans. Can't say the word "football" around an Iowa fan without the "IT AIN'T THE 90s" shit. Good for thinking about 90s Nebraska football so much, Iowa Hawkeye "fans".

‘Nebraska's hiring of Pitt OC Mark Whipple could revive Cornhusker football’

‘He is the ultimate quarterback whisperer, so good, so respected even head coaches who were quarterbacks themselves, seek his council.’

‘Frost, who is regarded as an offensive genius by more than a few folks, conceded he needed help when he flew to Arizona over the weekend to talk to Whipple about taking the burden of running the offense off a head coach's table that was already overloaded with tasks.’

Deny all you want. Want to do Lubick? Satterfield? Walters?
The script is the same. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Don’t want to read it? Quit having your delusional fan base do it.
It’s comical that you think I am saying it. Just a quick copy and paste while you two continue with your ‘no, no, no, that isn’t true’ in spite of easily found evidence.

In fairness it’s one fan who would likely be disliked on our board too. Though one does have to appreciate his commitment to literally putting a laughing emoji on every post. I find it humorous only because I imagine someone with no job, no life, no hope and this is his one outlet. There’s something funny and sad … very sad about that.

We have moved on and so should you. I can tell you the players are not familiar with the 80's and 90's. They want to win now. At least come up with some current insults. Thank you!!
Okay, just a few questions:

1. Is Bill Moos the former AD for the University of Nebraska or the University of Iowa?
2. Do you suppose Moos is one of those annoying Iowa fans who’s always interrupting Singlet’s conversations at work?
3. What do you figure Moos meant when he said that Urban Meyer was “running a little bit scared” at the prospect of a Nebraska resurgence? If not a “return to the 90s” or something very similar, what do you think he was hinting at?
4. When would you say that Nebraska fans officially moved on? Would you say that turning point was before or after 2018?

With their pickups of the Alabama OT and the Missouri DE, I see Nebraska is continuing their tradition of bringing in once highly thought of yet ultimately underachieving players from the portal. The Missouri guy in particular (1 career tackle as a former 5 star recruit) must suck since you know with their NIL they can retain their best talent.

But Rhule knows -just like Frost before him, that this is how you win the off-season with their stupid fans. It's just a hype machine and their fan culture is responsible for a lot their demise.

Kind of goes both ways don’t you think, Nebraska fans have a penchant for “Look at our trophy case” while continually downplaying Iowa as the always inferior program compared to Nebraska.

You're selectively reading, or not even responding to what I posted. It doesn't matter what flavor of football you're talking. You could be talking to a Tennessee fan, a Texas fan, a Florida fan and a Washington fan about this year's CFP, and if a Hawkeye troll is within earshot, you have maybe 12 seconds before you hear "IT AIN'T THE 90s BRO!" That level of obsession - and let's face it, retardation - is frightening to say the least. Only Missouri, Colorado and K-State fans can compare.

Why would Moos be brought up? He hasn’t been our AD for 4 years and two AD’s ago?

Tell us about your transfer portal gets. We're all waiting.
Can’t compete with Debby in the off season. Not even worth trying. Another cycle of ‘this is the answer at OC’ and ‘look at all these 4* recruits we have’ certainly glory is guaranteed, well until the actual games start. The names change but the story stays the same. Lather, rinse, repeat. At some point of time you will run out of water and need to get out of the shower.

Tell us about your transfer portal gets. We're all waiting.
Iowa doesn’t bring in unproductive players from the portal. They did once, last year with a highly acclaimed WR from Ohio State and it didn’t work out. Lesson learned.

Nebraska of course doesn’t learn these types of lessons because winning is secondary. Creating off-season fan hype, primary.

This is correct.

Rubtard_micro_peeniz apparently was kicked from your home board.

Nebraska and Iowa both have good and bad.

I get it. You snowflakes are butt hurt because Nebraska has a legitimate young quarterback and Iowa has what? The statement was Raiola has a low QB IQ. He was statistically towards the top of true Freshmen quarterbacks this year. So, because he emulates an elite NFL quarterback he has a low IQ. I know who really has the low IQ, Hans.
Regardless of IQ, it’s just f*cking weird his fascination with MaHomes. Is that better?

This thread makes me laugh!

The big one you forgot is that the Nebraska mods ban anyone who doesn’t drink the red koolaid. Thus, the reason to have a Nebraska thread on the Iowa site, as it definitely attracts Nebby lurkers. I don’t have a problem with Neb fans discussing sports on this free site as it’s a Rivals board. Doesn’t mean I can’t laugh at husker fans. Besides, if I want only Iowa fan talk, I can simply go to the premium board.

You can’t deny that there are plenty of Nebraska fans (on the Nebraska site) who still live in the past. Heck, even here if an Iowa fan tries to have a football discussion with a Nebraska fan…it often turns into comments from the Nebraska fan like…well Iowa hasn’t won a championship before, yada, yada.

My Iowa fan conversations are typically related to what is happening in the here and now. Portal pick ups - coaches - injuries etc and there is a fair amount of good-natured ribbing.

The only time I bring up the trophy case is when an Iowa fan rips us for sucking for 20 years … I get it, I’ve lived it and it sucks. Everyone knows it - we don’t hide from it and there is a commitment to get better as there is with every program on the country.

Debbie sucks.

Maybe you can win the off-season again with help from the portal. Dust off those old trophies. We'll keep the heroes trophy dusted

We own Debbie.
