Nebraska is clearly trending upwards and Iowa down...doesn't take a big brain to recognize. Even with the depleted roster and terrible coaches Rhule is slowly digging Nebraska out of the hole. He does not hurt my feelings, he belongs at UNL. His questionable QB IQ shows up in all tight games. That may or may not improve. Ask his teammates what they think of him, particularly the older ones.
I don't personally know him. I think most fans expected freshman mistakes. He is far from a finished product, but he has shown maturity and poise previous quarterbacks have lacked. I don't know what all of his teammates think of him, but it would be human nature I believe for some teammates to resent his notoriety and NIL. He seemed to attend a lot of games of other sports with some of his teammates including women's games. I'm sure if he wanted to transfer and make more money he could, but he made it clear he wasn't leaving and has been actively recruiting for the team. I don't care if you like him or not. Personally, I try not to throw out bogus insults at players even if I don't like the team. Happy New Year!

But they have been to the top, even if it was long ago. They have witnessed 5 Nattys. Expect more. Demand more. There is no reason Iowa can't be elite in football. Go all out for a 5 star QB and go thru the growing pains. The upside is tremendous and the downside is nothing. It's time to not be satisfied with status quo. Lots of teams win 5 to 8 games a season. What's the difference? A different bowl game. The goal should be the playoff.
As a Michigan fan, I consider them a blue blood still. After all those losing seasons their still in the Top Ten on the all-time wins list in college football. They've earned it and it seems like you may be a little jealous of that fact.

No. Most of those wins were earned over decades against garbage teams in a weak conference. Then later when Texas was added and they couldn't beat them, they had to run away.
They are trending up, they play good to great D. Held OSU to 11 1st downs and us to 5. That is an accomplishment for anyone in the Big. Indiana is another one trending up. The Big is getting more balanced top to bottom.
