Or they know where they're landing before they speak out, and can trust what they're being told.Agree but I guess they have to find a place before all the good spots are gone.

The "medical" redshirt is for season-ending injuries. Regular redshirts are 4 games or less. Not sure if they grant both but the latter is filed for. All that said, he might only play one more year in college anyway, and probably no more than 2 (especially if he is still recovering from surgery into the next season.)I don't understand the rules these days ... I would have thought that the '22 season would have counted towards a redshirt season for him (since he only played in 3 games). Obviously, the '20 season doesn't count toward eligibility. Thus, I'd infer that he has AT LEAST 2 year of eligibility remaining. However, you're right ... I have no idea how the NCAA would interpret things as it relates to his injury-year
This is worth monitoring, not sure what type of injury/health condition he went through, however he did have a LaPorta type season last year. Edit: looks like he had back surgery.
Lachey and Ostrenga a clear #1 and #2, not sure what's behind them, sign him up!
Sign him up if he has positive vibes with Cade. Former 4 star with two years of eligibility assuming he gets a medical redshirt after having surgery this past season. Let's win the damn portal war boys and quit making excuses.
I agree. I think Lachey will be the better pro. Better blocker and from what we have seen, more consistent hands.Strongly and respectfully disagree. I see a stud in Lachey. NFL guy
No, you probably are buddy. Keep your head up.Not sexy enough
Hell yes - would be a great addition to our TE roomMcNamara to Erick All highlights from 2021. All can ball. The one handed catch at the 6:00 minute mark is a thing of beauty.
Side-kick Louis Hansen 4* Sophomore from Michigan just entered The Portal.
Gavin Williams, too (ugh).WTF, is Jimmy going to the NFL or what?
Sleepovers and belly flops don't cut it inside the building. 😎WTF, is Jimmy going to the NFL or what?
My Gawd man have you also seen some of Iowa's?Man some of the tweeting Michigan fans are brutal
No, no its not!!!! It was against the Hawks.McNamara to Erick All highlights from 2021. All can ball. The one handed catch at the 6:00 minute mark is a thing of beauty.
If it is a place that really sucks for the kid, why wait?Intersting that these UM guys not wanting to stick around to be a part of the playoffs.
And I am tellin ya, TE in the backfield as the fullback.Yes. Please.
This would be huge. A healthy All would be Fant/Hock part 2.
My wet dream for Iowa’s offense is to go exclusively out of 2-3 TE sets. Split ‘em wide, line ‘em up, it presents so many matchup nightmares.
Such a crucial piece to our defense. Now, Reggie Bracy's gone?
Based off the Bracy specific thread where it specifically says Bracy is gone, yes. Now, Reggie Bracy's gone?
Hell let's bring 'em all. 4 TE sets.Side-kick Louis Hansen 4* Sophomore from Michigan just entered The Portal.
Strongly and respectfully disagree. I see a stud in Lachey. NFL guy
He is also a hell of a blocker. Total package for a TE.Says he was named a Team Captain for 2022. So losing a leader also.
One thing I hope Lachey improves upon greatly is his blocking. He is also a hell of a blocker. Total package for a TE.
I think he will do that but he is not a bad blocker. His hands though are second to none. I'm not sure Lachey has dropped a ball in two years, including the off target balls he still gets his hands on.One thing I hope Lachey improves upon greatly is his blocking.
Lachey is a better blocker than Laporta. One thing I hope Lachey improves upon greatly is his blocking.
No doubt, but these folks were tweeting directly at the kid. Course, he didn't do himself any favors with the innuendo in his goodbye post.My Gawd man have you also seen some of Iowa's?
Add a healthy All with Lachey and the rest of the room and tell Me there is a Team in America with a better and deeper TE room
Hell yes add him if he had a good year in 2021 like someone mentioned. Him and Lachey and Ostrenga sounds good.I'd really like to add him. Lachey is a good TE but he doesn't have the big play ability that LaPorta did imo.
And Stilianos.Hell yes add him if he had a good year in 2021 like someone mentioned. Him and Lachey and Ostrenga sounds good.
So was Hockenson.....Big Sam was a converted wide receiver. Luke has always been a tight end. Might explain some differences in their play.
Stilianos played. He was the 3rd and more of a blocking TE. He'll be back next year, too. This Michigan TE sounds like he would be a great addition, just hope it wouldn't push Luke to enter the portal. What happened with the transfer TE they brought in last year, was he hurt or just not good enough to play?
