3 Caliendo vs. 6 Mantanona.

11 PK vs. 3 Hamiti.

2 Buchanan vs. 23 Shumate. SB teched him at the dual, majored him at B1Gs.

5 BK vs. 4 Trephan (lost to Hill at last year's tournament but having a better year, beat Schultz this year).

Consis:
5 Parco vs. 22 Drexler.

11 Gabe vs. 21 DuVall (guy who had Allred down big early before Allred stuck him).

Why can't an opposing wrestler have a "short term injury" while wrestling against iowa? Seems to only affect the iowa wrestlers. /sigh

After all these years I still don’t know the point distribution. I joined the nlwc a year ago and still see a second round decision and see one point. My first reaction is huh???

i believe it is 1,1,7,7,4 for wins on the front side in terms (allocating for minimum placement points)

Expectations are so high for the wrestling program based on history. And probably 60+ programs would kill to be in Iowa's position.
But it's clear this staff has been slow to adapt and the grinding style wrestling simply has passed it's allure.
Being in their 50s, TnT aren't leaving on their own or anytime soon. Even with the Bassett commitment, recruiting has struggled.
The new normal seems to be Iowa is still a top 5 program, but the gap between PSU and now OSU, is widening.
Will Iowa wait 10 years for Spencer Lee?

Yeah duals don’t really matter. Right now the gap is 9 points. And it’s fairly likely to increase this next round.

Goetz needs to have a conversation about TNT getting some new staff. I think TNT are the right people but we gotta get some assistants that are scrapping and helping to attract kids.
