He wrestled a horrible match IMO. Seems like he was working to make it to SV/OT the entire match. That's how we lose at NCAAs. We don't do shit until the 3rd or SV and then we lose. Why hasn't anyone figured this out yet? Our man has zero offense...and I'm not confident he can beat PK for 74 next year; Gabe is very flat on the offensive side. Loved him last year but his lack of assertiveness this year is hard to watch...

In general, we’re talking about poor choice decisions. The biggest example being putting Cruz underneath in r1. He’s bad on bottom AND he didn’t need the 1 point. It almost cost him the match. That’s the situation we’re talking about.

Say what you want about how gabe wrestled, But a lone stall call in that match against smith is robbery.

We still need to find our offense. We can't keep blaming it on the lack of stall calls, etc. We need to create our own success and we definitely failed to do so at 57 and 84.

He’s a 7th year senior with a significant injury history who got injured again, not once, but twice this season!!!

This outcome was always a possibility (and reasonable people said so prior to the season and were shouted down).

Hope you're right, but I'm not convinced. He wrestled him the exact same way during the dual and didn't learn from that win so I'm not sure he's going to learn from this loss.

What is there to learn? He’s not wrestling close matches on purpose. He can’t score consistently on good 184s. He attacked a bunch in that one. He doesn’t have the offense.

He’s doing his best. He’s at the wrong weight.

My god! TnT training srategey proof in pudding. Teemer 4 yrs at ASU. No injuries. 4 months at iowa hand, knee, shoulder and hammie and got worse!

DeSanto, Eierman, Woods, Caliendo, Parco, Buchanan. So pretty much all of them. Franek was a wash. Teemer obviously multiple injuries so not really anything coaches can do.

Season isn't over but what highly ranked transfer has actually improved under this coaching staff?

Most highly ranked transfers do not significantly improve in any program. A mid AA is a mid AA by his senior year. Too much ingrained teaching for a new coach to work against.

They were all straight on shots. He didn’t create any angles or have any trade offs from a two on one, high crotch or snaps.
