He wrestled nearly the same way against Rogotke of tOSU and capitalized on a bad shot.
Tonite...no offense again. Neither of those guys is better than low AA.

It was a fun and frustrating dual at the same time. We're just not putting it all together yet.
Cruz exemplifies that. He's getting better, he's hanging with top dogs, but he drives me crazy with brain farts and failure to capitalize on opportunities. Someone please teach him how to finish a single leg and get off the bottom. Do that and he'd have majored the guy.
Ayala started too slow, as he often does, and found himself with too slim a lead in the 3rd to feel comfortable opening it up. So he sat on a 2-point lead for the final minute. Risky and frustrating to watch.
Schriever, I just don't get. Fifth-year senior who has simply never improved.
Parco was the true OW. Gutsy takedown for the win against the guy who beat Van Ness.
I like watching Estrada, even though he's got a ways to go. Unlike Schriever, he wrestles top guys like he actually thinks he can win. That's refreshing and Brands-like.
Caliendo returned mostly to form, as if he needed this re-boot match to test his self-confidence. Not his best performance, but hopefully the re-boot will be successful.
I'm as frustrated by Kennedy as everyone else--but it was a fun match. He may simply be at his ceiling, in which case he's a R12/AA toss-up.
Gabe...arrgggh...no excuses...he's not getting to his offense. Once is an aberration. Three times in a row is a pattern. How do you keep that guy off your legs? Get to your offense. And not once, in the final seconds, when you're dead tired and take one bad shot. Ten times, twenty times, starting in the first period. So if you take a bad shot in the final seconds you're already up by ten and it doesn't matter. Now you've been bitten.
Buchanan. Thank God. And he worried me, because he looked sluggish and tired in the first two periods. I thought he had the flu. He's just tough.
Kueter looked good, despite a few scary moments. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders--high expectations, end of the lineup in close duals like this, and still young.
