B1G Seeds

PK needs to win that 4/5 match or he probably won't be seeded high enough to all-American. Would love to see him at least get 3rd and jump back into that 8/9 seed.
The 8/9 seed is really tough to AA from. Awhile back I looked at 3 years of brackets and the results weren’t favorable. The 10 and 11 seeds had better results than 8 or 9.
There were more upsets of 10 beating 7 and 11 beating 6 in the second round,
There are of course exceptions. Figgs won from the 8 last year.

I think Ben can realistically finish 3rd. Feldman is a tough rematch for sure. Heinselman is good obviously but Keuter struggles with guys with the size advantage. I think Ben has improved since his loss to Luffman and he and the Rutgers kid are fairly evenly matched. Tough weight for sure, I mean 3-9 are all pretty close ability wise.
This is where the rubber hits the road for a guy in Kueter’s position, IMO. Finsihing 3rd in this field would be a big step forward. It will require sustained sharpness and smart wrestling. A strong showing here and at Nationals sets him up well psychologically for next season.

Assuming he loses to Kerk and seeds hold, his path through the consi's would be Nevills, Slavikouski, Feldman and Heindselman.

Does anyone think any seeds will get changed tomorrow? I know it is pretty rare. I don't follow other teams close enough to know if they would have any strong arguments for their guys. Do the coaches ever actually push for their guy to get seeded higher anymore after the pre-seeds come out, or do they just except them and move forward? Just wondering why they even release pre-seeds if nothing ever changes anyway. Just release the seeds on Friday and roll with it.

I could see arguments with 149 but really don't see how changing up the top 3 would end the argument. That really is a 3 man toss up but of course only 2 will get into the championship match.

Obviously, getting the 1 seed is a HUGE advantage. I don’t necessarily have an issue with the pre-seeds, but I would fight pretty damn hard if I were the Iowa or Nebraska coaches…

it behooves the rest of the B1G coaches to get a PSU wrestler out of the favored seed (not that it ultimately will make a big difference)

Van Ness Major over Parco > Lovett major over Van Ness, since Parco beat Lovett.
Also Lovett has two losses, even though it was to #1 Henson.
If Henson wins the ACC and these three finish 1,2,3 they should be 2,3,4 at NCAA. However, it probably doesn’t happen. Lovett has the most to gain and lose.

Which site is correct for schedules? Hawkeyesports.com or BigTen. Iowa shows 10am CDT, BT shows 10am EDT.

What kind of Jedi mind trick is that 😂

All 3 have 1 conference loss. Lovett didn’t get majored. Both SVN and Parco did. His loss was by 1 pt. Manning has a legitimate argument for the 1 seed. But let’s hope the seeds hold. The match up with Lovett has proven to be a lot better.

I am saying the coaches who are seeding it are looking at it this way and all things being even Lovett has lost twice
I like the seeds the way they are and hell yeah Lovett had a case for #1. If he would have beat Parco he’d clearly be #1,
Whomever wins it, and I hope it’s Parco, is a lock for the # 2 seed, providing Henson doesn’t stumble, then it’s a one seed. Where it gets tricky for NCAA seeding is if McNeil upsets Henson. Parco and Lovett both beat McNeil head to head.
I wish they’d get rid of the conference champ gettin extra points for seeding, because if you split with a guy the most recent win, usually the conference championship, trumps the split record. Maybe it would help reduce the dodging tactic.
If McNeil does win the ACC he probably jumps #2 & for sure #3 at the BT Tourney. Someone else can run it on a spreadsheet and prove me wrong. God knows I’ve been wrong before.
