In pass coverage, yeah they can improve but I have been pleased with the progress they've shown thus far this season.

I agree. Our LBs look fast and very improved. Not there yet but not a big liability.
Kirk knows how bad these officials have been, which is why he ran on the field to call time out.

Illinois front 7 is legit. I think we adjust our running game in the 2nd half
CJ is stud, but Jerminic was wide open. Catchable but not very easy catch.

I'll never complain about Kirk being aggressive in the red zone, but shoot -- this score could very easily be 27-7 right now.
I'll take a 16-7 halftime lead any day of the week. It sucks knowing it could've been anywhere from 19-7 to 27-7 though. Iowa going to need to score more points in the 2nd half.
True. Quick unit. And their CB is pretty decent too, though he has habit of getting handsy a little early. So far no calls.
Don't think we have it in the bag yet. Look at what they did last weekend. Lunt and co. can air it out. Hope our secondary is ready for that. Offense needs to continue putting points on the board and leave with a win. 6-0!!
Yeah they're letting the secondary get away with a lot. That 3rd down play to Vandeberg, the dude bear hugged him before the ball was even thrown.

Solid half, but man it's frustrating having the ball inside the 2 yard line a couple times and only coming away with 3 points.
Welp...Iowa dominated the half except they really didn't play well I'd say. The TOP I hope pays dividends in the second half. Seemed like Iowa had the ball the entire half save the Illini TD drive.
