Tip of the hat to the Illini. They have some players and this new coach seems good also. As decent are they already are, by end of the season the Illini might be a team nobody wants to play. Their last game of the season against NW might mean something to rest of the division.
Last year watching Rudock was like watching a LIckliter basketball game. We did come up short on points, but it is lot more entertaining to watch this year's team.
Not there. Get to the line, run a sneak. If you don't get it use the TO. Burning it made Iowa throw the ball from the 1 yard line on 3rd. There was 24 seconds left when the timeout was burned.

C.J. hasn't always had a lot of time to throw, but he's flat missed a couple today throwing behind guys, and part of that is because he's feeling the pressure from the rush, even when it's not there yet. Just needs to re-focus and stay tough.
This is feeling like another game 25 years ago in Iowa City, where we dominated the first half, missed an extra point in that game.........(I can't type, anymore.)
Definitely not a great half. Lots to be disappointed with but some good positives as well.
Defense has been really good. CJ's mobility and deep ball have been excellent. The emergence of Jermanic has been great.
O line getting dominated, not so good.
Leaving with zero points after getting inside the 5 is becoming a bad habit. A legit bruiser at RB and/or a 320-pounder on the OL would make a huge difference.
He also slid on the turf when attempting to stop to make the catch.

I rewound it and looked again. Sure looked like helmet to helmet to me. Wasn't a perfect angle, though. It happened fast, but that D-lineman came in high the whole way. Looked like targeting to me.

That drive was literally all quick outs by Illinois for the most part, another FG on the board at this point sure would feel nice.
