:p

What do you get out of this? You aren't even a good troll and everyone in the thread knows what you're doing. It's just sad at this point.

I just felt the need to point that out to you.
Far too many trolls creeping into this thread.

Things are getting salty. Brett Taylor had a nice rant this morning on Bleacher Nation, and David Kaplan went ballistic on the post game show last night. As Paul Sullivan pointed out in his column, when you've lost Kap you need to look at making real changes.
Russell made a bone headed play last night when he is supposedly on the roster to provide good defense.
Baez watched a double turn into a single.
No accountability right now.

There is a complete house cleaning coming for this team. At least there should be. Start with mgmt.

I've noticed long time fans becoming easily agitated and bitter.

Not just that he is sitting there smiling and laughing right after....NOT what I like to see!
Should have benched his ass today......

This benching Baez stuff is ridiculous. 99% of the time that kid is hustling harder than anyone else on the team. Not to mention he’s smacking the crap out of the ball right now.

I wouldn’t bench him, but hopefully there was some accountability.

He constantly stares at balls after he hits them and it needs to stop.

Too many of them do it and they need to know it won't be accepted, but apparently it is.

He is a hard player and hustler usually, no denying that.

But what does "and it won't be accepted" really mean? Is Joe or any other manager just going to stop playing Baez? Give him away to another team? This isn't a middle school team, accountability isn't as easy.

By my count, he's done this at least twice this season, maybe 3x. Once, he still got to second anyway but it was closer than it should have been. I hope they're getting after him in the dugout and clubhouse but it's hard to justify taking his bat and glove or if the lineup and hurting the team over something that happens a handful of times per season.

We're going to make a stop in Chicago for a game July 19 on our way out east. Just curious if there's a cheaper place to get tickets besides StubHub or equivalent services? Thanks

Cubs have their own resale service. It might be more even keel than the Stub Hubs.

Most games aren’t even sold out, check the cubs site but you can usually find tickets for under face on stubhub.

Thanks. I've found some on there for around $50 which isn't bad just not great seats. Tough day to find a cheap ticket. Trying not to blow a ton of money on them since it's not really part of our vacation plan.

Stay away from the 400 level and anything higher than row 15 in the 200 level. Almost anything else is good.

It was 4-3 when I went out to mow the lawn.
Hopefully the get this one completed (Or completed enough), before the rain hits, or Joe West melts away. Which ever comes first.

Where are the seats at? You said you are going on the 19th, which is a Friday. You are going to pay no matter what for a Friday game at Wrigley.

200 and 400 level. Our kids have never been so we thought maybe we'd make a stop on our way through. Understandably Friday is going to be pricier.

all I know is whatever they are doing it is NOT working. it is definitely not just javy that does it, seems like half the team.
btw I am pretty sure we would have been ok without him today, would have been good timing :)

If you haven't been in awhile, there is a parking service/website/app that came into being the last 2-3 years. It's fairly handy to book a spot in a private lot close to the stadium. For the life of me I cannot remember it, but I am sure you can find it, or someone will fill in the blank for me.
I have a buddy that lives a few blocks from Wrigley, and the guy that owns the next door to him has three parking spots off the alley that he rents for up to $60 depending on the game. He never has to deal with the money or check on who is there. I think they send him a message with the plate # of the cars for the game and that's it.

Has Kimbrel had a clean inning, yet? Hopefully he is just rounding into form.
