*****Official FSU CFB early signing day & transfer portal thread*****

With Douglas, Hill, and Frier already on the team to play the slot, this would seem like a move just to keep DJ comfortable.
There are much bigger needs along the DL and in the LB group that would have to take precedence over a 5'8" receiver.
I would assume he'd be brought in as a return specialist and open up the competition for the slot position.

That is fine as long as BE is not using resources for him as a special team guy. Plus, if they are looking for a special team option, Jaylin Lucas, with his KO return ability, would be a better choice IMO ( Jaikai Douglas's brother played at Indiana: career 3 KO Return TDs in 2 years)

I think his maturity, professionalism and leadership is going to be key. I hope the other players rally to him and the team gels during the offseason. It was easier, I think, for additions like Bell, Keon, etc. to be brought in under J-Trav. It will be a more difficult task for DJ to have to assume that role. Based on what I've seen, I believe he's up to the task.

He also has a strong beard game. That cannot be stressed enough.

Weak beard game had him sent to Albany.

Strong beard game has him a first round draft pick.....

I hope Ray stays; he isn't a star, but he is a solid depth piece
I saw a video before last weeks game of his girlfriend at the stadium. She was big time cheering him on as a Seminole. I then saw his name listed as in the portal, so mixed signals…

One thing I have noticed is a lot of the portal guys, even highly ranked, need some time with Coach Storms. I would imagine the S&C development is another selling point for portal guys.
