I was screaming WTF as he was going in for the shot. Get 2 and foul Trimble, a 80%+ free throw shooter. Makes no sense.

To be fair I don't think we were trying to foul Trimble....he sold it pretty well, at least that last time.

But yeah Gesell getting layups was f***ing stupid.

The weak side down-screens got.a couple open looks for 3. Run that and then run it on the opposite side if that first look isn't there. But that's Iowa's lack of organization in late game situations for you....

The way Maryland played Iowa should have stolen this game. In my opinion this was a really bad loss.

Yep a 6 point loss vs. a top 8 team on the road in league play. One of the worst losses in school history.

We need better shooting? I think you need to check our box scores from the last 10 games. This was one bad game.

A few thoughts.
1. People are now starting to understand how important Woody is to this team.
2. JU had an off night as did Baer. I thought the bench was a bit in awe tonight. When JU couldn't do anything everyone except Woody and Sapp panicked.
3. We have to hit three's to stretch the D
4. Sapp did a great job on Trimble as did Mike.
5. We still control our own destiny. We can stop reading press clippings. Time to go get a W and learn from our mistakes.
6. Don't forget we were picked 9th pre-season in the league not the country. Stsy behind these kids and enjoy the ride.

As poor as Maryland played the game was there for the taking if Iowa would have showed up. Sorry you are content with losing a game that could have been won. Not trying to stir the pot just sharing my view points just like the others posting here.

Never said I am content with the loss. Of course I think if a few things go differently we could have won. Just sharing my view point that this loss is not a "really bad loss". In fact, I would say in the eyes of the NCAA committee it is just the opposite.... a 'quality' loss. But of course, that's my opinion, I could be wrong.

Yeah, you could say that. You could also say that we played like crap against the #8 team on their court and only lost by 6. It was kind of a stinker of a game and it's over. I thought we were at best 50-50 going in and that's about the way it came out. No tears.

Maryland and Turgeon have it all wrong. You always rush the court when you are favored at home and ranked in the top ten.
