I have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where MSU goes up like 20-5 in the first 5 minutes of the game and then Iowa has to claw their way back the entire game. Peter Jok will be the high scorer.. Hawks pull close but fall in the end because Izzo threatens to murder a refs family... MSU 80, Iowa 76
I think it will be tighter than most think from the get-go. This team is playing with a lot of confidence.
Will be interesting to see if we have rest or rust from the week-plus layoff.

It's games like these where I wish we could suit up Ed Horton again. Dude took shit from no one and made sure none of his teammates did too. The ultimate enforcer.
Does anyone remember an early-season tournament game (Alaska Shootout?) in which Roy Marble was cut wide open by an obviously intentional elbow to his head? After a timeout or stoppage of play, Horton made a meandering route back the to paint by walking within a few feet of the dirty bastard out on the right wing, gave him the stink eye, before taking his place under the basket. Or, am I dreaming?
