Guys as much as the slowdown offense sucks, under 4 with a 12-14 point lead, it actually makes some sense to use. Remember there is no 5 second dribbling rule this year so if you can waste 25 seconds of precious clock without turning it over, it makes sense.

Need to get better shots off though, not MG taking it to the hole and throwing up a wild shot or pass to no one.
The only part I don't like is that it's always in Gessell's hand. 10 seconds left get the ball to Uthoff. Why Fran continues to refuse to get it to Uthoff is beyond me? Give the ball to your best offensive player with the shot clock winding down. That's pretty simple basketball that Fran refuses to do. I hope it doesn't bite us at some point in the season.
So I don't get drilled Fran coached a hell of game tonight. Great win. The sky is the limit if this team plays with that effort every game. Love that these guys understand how to bring the effort every game. Huge win and it's hard to imagine that this team is probably the favorite to win the Big Ten right now.
Yeah, and I know that we don't obsess over such things, but that team over in Ames is tied for last place in their conference...
