Yep. Feel like we literally waste 3/4 of our possessions and play calls. That leaves a VERY small margin of error. We don't have the talent to give up on drives after ONE play.
Why bother when you can just line up, call whatever play you want, and get the first down?
Next Iowa possession: QB sneak on 1st down, overthrow a deep pass, penalty negates a first down run by Wadley, run a quintuple reverse for a safety.
This game sucks. I mean, it's just poorly played all around by both sides on offense.
Been better off to have put Tim Polasek in as Offensive Coordinator. At least he had experience and not so bad as well.
How can you play the 2nd ranked team in the nation (PennSt) within 2 points,and then be like this ????
Almost always the same story against nw. EVERY other team worth a damn just go after them and closes them out once they get ahead. Not us. We continue to show them too much respect and pussy foot around and allow them to hang until they get some confidence and pull the win out their a##. So sick of it! There is no reason why iowa should struggle with these guys.

I do 't recall seeing NW physically dominate us like this before. Just absolutely killing us on the line of scrimmage. Making us look like wimps. Pretty embarrassing.
Well that's the game folks, the coaches threw in the white flag on their last drive now NW takes a lead. Stick a fork, fat lady singing, whatever you prefer... Its over and this season may as well be also.

I actually think a lot more of it has to do with the experiment of turning the offensive coordinator position and the offensive line position into two weaknesses this year from one strength last year. Brian did fine with the offense of line last year GD well whatever. Now you have a rook at coaching offensive line and a rook as an offensive coordinator. Bad combo
Yep. Wasted possessions will bite us in the end. Our coaches leaving ZERO margin for error. And a lot of errors in this one on offense. Not much more our defense can do. Guess defense needs to score for BF too.
