Almost always the same story against nw. EVERY other team worth a damn just go after them and closes them out once they get ahead. Not us. We continue to show them too much respect and pussy foot around and allow them to hang until they get some confidence and pull the win out their a##. So sick of it! There is no reason why iowa should struggle with these guys.

This isn't just against NW. This is why Iowa under KF loses to inferior teams. There is no "kill shot" mentality. Get a lead and cruise on in. Iowa always has a close game or 2 each season against teams they ought to blow out. Unfortunately those games can go either way.

I actually think a lot more of it has to do with the experiment of turning the offensive coordinator position and the offensive line position into two weaknesses this year from one strength last year. Brian did fine with the offense of line last year GD well whatever. Now you have a rook at coaching offensive line and a rook as an offensive coordinator. Bad combo

Early on, I really expected them to use Tim Polasek for some offensive influence. What a waste to stick him with the offensive line instead of where he has had much success!
