Im convinced the bench beats the starters in practice! They play at a completely different speed.

Yes let this group ride. Bohannon, Wieskamp, Connor and Frederick were not interested in defending or playing hard. This group at least tips some balls and contests a bit.
Kind of nice to have players who can get into the lane and finish and/or draw the foul when the threes aren’t falling (Perkins, Toussaint)
Iowa has missed 9 free throws and MSU has 6 2nd chance 3’s. This should be a 25 point game if Iowa can box out and rebound.
How bad does Fran look after not giving these guys more PT? Sad thing he won't change. He is smarter than all of us silly fans who want to see the best athletes on the floor.
Perkins is a physical player. Doesn't shy away from contact. Looks to play through contact which you can't say for a lot of players to play under Fran.
Ke Murray has a great nose for the ball. He tipped that missed Joey T shot but it didn't count. Beat three Spartans for that last offensive rebound. Love that kid.
EDIT: Flashed into the lane for the little back door. It does look like Keegan is over aiming his jump shots. Needs to just let it go like earlier in the season. Nerve thing I'm sure but that good looking three ball is going to return.

Add Perkins to that list of needing more minutes. His defense is outstanding.

He won’t though. He’ll put our slow, weak, & elderly back in at the 5 min mark.
I know your joking but apathy will further set in for me if hawks can't make it to sweet 16 this year. But I agree the D should be better going forward based on what we are seeing from these guys
Good post but Fran won't. He is too smart to use common sense. Athletes vs. athletes = better d and fewer matchup problems.

How many FG’s has this group given up aside from Pat’s safe after the blocked shot which went right to Henry? The jumper over Toussaint is the only one that comes to mind
Why do I feel like this team will be in an absolute battle round one of the tournament, no matter seed or matchup.
Yeah, it's no accident that Iowa is struggling the last three games. Garza has not been playing like the NPOY. He's been good, but not great. Iowa needs him to be great to perform like a top 10 team. Period.
