It is not coming back…agreed. You can go back to the beginning of free agency with bb and fb, but yes the dream team era changed everything for sure. Money and greed can ruin everything and it is creeping on wrestling. Later than other sports for sure.

As an opposing fan, I can certainly see the same bias from his tweets that you do. They come across as slanted, and always in the same direction.
i don't know what iowa's offer was, but i spoke to someone in the know at OKST and it wasn't nearly in the 400k - 500k range.

Why does anyone trust Mineo as a source for anything? If he tweeted out that water was wet, I'd want independent verification.
But do you trust his information at first blush? I certainly don’t. When Willie tells you that Blaze leans to so and so, not one person doubts his accuracy. Mineo is a self serving muckraker. TMZ like.
I think he loves the drama and will not hesitate to fabricate something if it draws more eyes to him
In our real lives, we would never associate with a scoundrel like that. Why do we do it online when we know what he is? He is self serving, and over time we all realize that he is artificially inflating numbers. Can we not all agree to dismiss everything he says?

If all goes perfectly for that lineup, I see 120 points. I see 145-150 at PSU without goggles. That's giving you 3 in the finals and 7 AAs for 120 points. Maybe 2026 with a couple new faces at the upper weights for PSU will bring them closer to the pack.

Maybe? It would be getting that line up in my opinion that would obviously be the biggest problem. that being said, I believe you undervalue it when you say "if all goes perfectly, 120 points?"
Ayala is already a finalist, Alirez a NC, AJ a NC, Arnold is a monster, Brands is an AA as is Caliendo, PK would be at his best weight, then you would have Flynn who is also a multi AA, Parco, and Big Ben who could be right in the mix if he adds the weight needed which he looks to be doing!

It is better than anything Iowa has produced in the last 10 years. You just don't have enough stallions. I can see PSU having potentially 6-7 finalists. That's the difference.
This ends back at the feet of recruiting. You need elite kids.

Mean while you have no returning AA at 125, 133 is going backward, apparently moving parts from 157-174??? with StarFish going to 197 to get his ass kicked by AJ!?!?!? not seeing it but that leaves you no returning AAs at 174 and 184!!!

It's getting ridiculous. Make the $ public or don't post it all. Completely meaningless to post the amount offered by one school by not the school the athlete ends up attending. It's amazing how much Iowa gets slandered for NIL.
